Re: Jamies Stripped Cavalier..
My plans are to make it a super light cavalier, today i removed the bumper (well ripped it off lol) wings, bonnet etc. There was 1 bolt for each wing inside the car behind the electrical boxes down by your feet if sat in the car. Found that the cavalier has a "charcoal canister" like on th...

Re: bonnet lifters for cav
I believe that almost every car uses m6 bolts for the bonnet, in my previous cars i just worked out the length off the thread that goes into the bonnet and got longer ones by the desired amount. I raised my ZS an inch but it does really look like your bonnet it broken but it has been proven to reduc...

When I first seen the car i honestly thought it would be an epic fail but the more i look at it the better it looks, but imho you should remove the chrome strips and side strips.. And have front fogs.
But great work tho

Re: A few more questions :P
There was a guy on a Rover forum i was once on, he used an alloy plate, all he did was silicone it and rivet it down.. Last night whilst in bed, i was thinking what i could use for doorcards. Alloy sheet would end up being heavier than the original. Then i thought Perspex! But not just any perspex, ...

Re: A few more questions :P
Lol its all good, plus where i live we have roads with no speed limits 24/7 =P Legally. Plus stripping a car out isnt always about speed, it improves MPG, breaking, cornering etc. Also i like stripped interiors for some reason, and prefer to have 2 bucket seats with harnesses than a full car using s...
