Update: This weekend i decided to do what i was told by a couple of fellas on here by cleaning out breather hoses, throttle body and the ICV with carb cleaner. yeah exhaust manifold gasket needs replacing and some mechanic wannabe tried to do the job and sheered one of the bolts off then he decided to not fix what he did. But if it sounds the same after that has been done then i will look more into it.

I take it the best thing to clean the throttle body is with carburetor cleaner.

Engine Mods

Some people tell me that i should put the HKS mushroom air filter on me cav which has got the C20NE. Is that the right one to go for and can anyone else tell me what else i should do (cheaply) to the cav thank you.

Really enjoyed myself what a great bunch of people you are defo be coming to more of the events. Hopefully my cav will look much better next time you will see her and i think you lot got my brother in law thinking about getting himself a cav :thumb

The truck is fully insured and before we do anything with the car we will go round the vehicle with the owner and go through any slight damages and scuffs with them and will take photos as well. Indicator repeater round lenses

Does anyone else have a problem with people stealing the little round indicator lenses on there cav?

Is it better to have the oval shaped ones or does anyone know of something else maybe?

C20NE hot starting problem

When starting cold the car starts first time every time but every now and then she will start but will stall only when hot. It takes a couple of attempts but she will start and idle after those attempts. Also when I do start hot I give a little rev but as soon I come off the pedal and revs come down...

2.0i 8v Sound

Is it normal for the 2.0i 8v engine sound to be really ticky? It is just a couple of people have just questioned it when had the bonnet up. Also it doesn't help with the exhaust manifold gasket blowing.
