For part of the imobaliser they cut the ignition live that runs the fan and put it trough a relay

He lives upton way from what I have been told and it's a very ruff car close up from what a few mates have told me

But I beleave it's a gsi and been going around for a few years now

Also a massive thanks to every one who gave me advice to help eliminate the issue

Well after 6 hours in the cav the heater blower is fixed and working So after changing the thermal fuse it wasn't that But after chasing wires I found it to be a relay on the after market alarm had gone faulty so after buying a new on for £5.50 from halfrauds it was fixed and also the dash is back i...

Yeah I did that and it worked on that

If its the one I have seen before its a 2.0 redtop in it

Well as I was out with the family all day today I didn't get out to the car today but last night I removed the dash to find the wire and will also try the thermal fuse as well

Okay do I have found out it is the wiring somewhere in the car but my question now is

Does the ignition live go to the fuse then on to heater blower switch or to switch then to heater

Just replied to your pm mike and if u have a big enough socket for the front hub nut as I list mine then no probs lol

Well sorry guys I have to pull out off tonight as the cav dash and bits are all pulled out so will be stood on front of it later in my garage scratching my head

Well after a long night of striping it all out and and stripping half the dash apart I have tested the resistor and fan and that's all working it seems that I have no power at the switch or the fuse what so ever

Let me borrow yours to find out lol

Is there anyway of testing the resistor or where can I get a new one from

Yes I have had the ignition on and even tried with the car running

And I can't find any fuses in the engine bay at all

My cav turbo on its new 18"s lowered on cav gsi -60mm springs

It's sounds terrible at the moment not sure if it's the manifold or the exhaust side of the turbo

Okay my cav has got one of many issues lol

Basically I'm stumped as my heater blower has stopped working

I've changed all the fuses and put a volt meter to the switch but theres no power going to it at all

Any one got any suggestions as its doing my head in
