Yes there is a Filter?screen assy in the autobox, part Number is 90541934 but to replace it you'll need to split the gearbox.

good chance its 2/3 shift solinoid. My Cav's got the same problem when its cold it works ok the the EML comes on. Shifts ok manually.

Valve is about £150.00 and its a bit of an arse to fit

sound like your problem. On high milage cars the seal will cut a groove in the crank, if its not gushing out keep an eye on it. To do the job you'll need to either pull the engine or drop the subframe to get the box out. If you drop the subframe you'll nee new bolts for it, may as well put in a new ...

ok just checked with tech1 and Trouble code 28 is present, solenoid 2-3 high voltage. Could get a new one from Opel @ about £150.00. Has anyone do the solenoids on these boxes before, for what i can see it looks like engine & box out job Have put a post on Parts Wanted so if anyone has a good bo...

Well i was taking to one of my trade customers today and just happen to mention that the Cav has now do 185 thou and its on an auto box. As soon as i said i knew i'd said the wrong thing. Car was ok coming back from work tonight, went to pick the lad up from the railwau station an the Trans EML came...

Always replace head bolts on an alloy head, its a no brainer. Also if the head gasket is being replaced always had the head face checked to make sure its flat and have it plained if not and have a pressure test do as well

FYI Vauxhall 10w40 semi is on offer. Buy 3 5ltr cans and get one free, that works out to about £7.50 per can + VAT. Also same deal is available on 20ltr drums of 10w40 and also the same sizes but in 5w30 fully syn, This is one of the best oil deals on the market and there is no limit to the amount y...

the x20xev and x22se have the same head gasket. I'm sure i've seen or read about this conversion some place but i can;t remember where, either that or i'm dreaming about Vauxhall engines....again :roll: or the other thing to do, and yes i've seen this one done is to get a Pontica Sunbird engine, 2.0...

there are are couple in Opel Flash Mag this month but like you say they are going for about 500 euros. I have got a friend in Holland on the lookout for a good cheap one though

massive torque and set up correctly will blow a valver. Setup: 2.2 bottome end with counter balance to keep it smooth, balance and lighten the bottome end, big valve ported 8v head with vernier pully on the cam shaft and a mid road cam. Could then go with a mappable ECU like Megasquirt or emmerald, ...

Hi Mate A Re-manufractured Engine from Vauxhalls would set you back £683.00 +VAT exchange but you would lose the warranty on it if you pulled the head off within the first year. Failing that why not look at a Frontera 2.2 16v Bottom end with an 8v staged head. The head will fit the block and everyth...
