Yes there is a Filter?screen assy in the autobox, part Number is 90541934 but to replace it you'll need to split the gearbox.

good chance its 2/3 shift solinoid. My Cav's got the same problem when its cold it works ok the the EML comes on. Shifts ok manually.

Valve is about £150.00 and its a bit of an arse to fit

sound like your problem. On high milage cars the seal will cut a groove in the crank, if its not gushing out keep an eye on it. To do the job you'll need to either pull the engine or drop the subframe to get the box out. If you drop the subframe you'll nee new bolts for it, may as well put in a new ...

ok just checked with tech1 and Trouble code 28 is present, solenoid 2-3 high voltage. Could get a new one from Opel @ about £150.00. Always replace head bolts on an alloy head, its a no brainer. Also if the head gasket is being replaced always had the head face checked to make sure its flat and have it plained if not and have a pressure test do as well
