Re: cavalier project b204
I wish saab would have worked with a vauxhall to make a decent turbo car. A saab powered 200ts would be awesome. Even though they are based on the mk3 astra and the later ones vectra they are a shambles in comparison to vauxhall. I think saab skimped on everything but the engine back then and now th...

If you believe in that spiritualist stuff then this might be interesting, the suzuki unbeknown to me has its bday on the same year as my brothers crash and was the same year as he was born. The problem i had with it was i lost my older brot...

Re: Back in a cavalier again!
So iv had this now for a while now and never actually updated it. I had it on the rolling road (a crap one in bradford) it made 392hp and 400lbs torque though it was wheel spinning so im pretty sure im into 400 with ease. Made its max power at 5200rpm which it made full torque at......... When i bui...

Speedo not working
Removed my clocks tonight to wire up a speed sensor and my speedo stopped working. Checked cable and thats turning whilst driving. Iv checked to make sure its connected. Are the clocks known to fail that easy?
Just wondering if theres something else i can do before finding some more clocks

I know some absolutely fantastic driving roads in wales. all pretty close to the evo triangle. Smoothest tarmac you will ever drive on!

Re: Brakes not working right
Another thing worth trying is leaving the brakes to gravity bleed them selves one by one. My sj will not bleed any other way what so ever (due to position of bleed nipple) I lift calliper up so bleed nipple is at top and crack it off until just fluid comes out consistently. I don't really know what ...

Re: Brakes not working right
Pull your handbrake amd then press the pedal. That will rule out the rear shoes. Then you could put pipe clamps on all 4 brake hoses one by one and see if it gets better. Then you can elimunate which corner is OK. But it does sound like master cylinder. Had it a few times now.

Re: New member, with cr*p Cav- I need your help!
I'm pretty sure a big block gearbox will bolt to a small block engine but a small block gbox won't bolt to a big block engine. To gain big block status the 16nz2 is the same width (cambeltside to gbox side) as the 1.8 and 2.0s and the 16nz is the same width as the 1.4, 1.3 and 1.2 making that small ...

Re: New member, with cr*p Cav- I need your help!
Thankyou all :) Lots to think about. My biggest problem is, I can't bare to put a healthy dog down.. but my sensible head says it's not financially worth it, not that that really matters. I would probably keep it standard. I live in a remote part with awful roads and a nice softly sprung Cav with 7...

Re: Straight exhaust
Won't make no difference from its normal position to being straight. On most engines it's the manifold and down pipe where theyre restricted.

Re: Saab Leathers
Quick answer no. You can get the backs to fit but the Saab rear seat belt/headrest frame doesn't fit unless you chop it down (means the seat backs aren't fixed down at the top) bottom part fits fine though. The front seats are no where near but what I did was weld a cav runner to the bottom of the S...

Back in a cavalier again!
Hello once again. Been a while. Just bought another cav after regretting selling my old one. This ones gunna follow the same route and have a Saab engine but this time I'm aiming for 400hp and not settling at 300 like last time! Building in memory of my brother so that will keep me enthusiastic to h...
