It does, drove to work in the cavalier this morning and it feels more positive.

I can definitely recommend this mod.

Number could be 90236353. Greig That number was correct so I have now fitted the SRI rear anti roll bar. http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b272/snowy70838/IMG-20160402-WA0015_zpsqbfpicgh.jpeg The ends of the old bar are shot and the bushes torn. http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b272/snowy70838/IMG...

Just a question. I have an Sri rear antiroll bar I want to fit. I can see new bushes for sale for the two mounts in the centre. But where can you get new bushes for the ends?

Thanks

The only other thing to be wary of is some of the threaded holes in the block you want to use for the fwd application will never have been used in the Carlton. I have seen these corrode to the point you need to helcoil them to use them

If you're lucky it will be the 20SE which is the 122bhp engine.

Stick an SEH ecu on it and you have an SEH engine :D

Re: Carlton C20ne

They are the same engine and yes if you strip the carlton engine mounts etc off and fit FWD parts then it will go into a cavalier. There will be a spigot bearing in the end of the crank to remove and the Injection loom is a different length. I've done this the other way around and taken a C20NE from...

Thanks to Gray16v I have a set of SRI springs and new front shock absorbers. So I set to fitting these this morning. It was quite and easy job taking about one hour per side. I just need to buy some new rear shock absorbers now. http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b272/snowy70838/IMG-20160320-WA0020_z...

I have an F16CR gearbox from a cavalier Sri. I don't need it as I have an F18CR gearbox from an Astra sport.

Message me if you're interested. Thanks

Re: POD 1.8 Expression

Well the new calipers are on and the whole system bleed. So hopefully now the front brakes are 2L spec when I fit the C18XEL engine I wont have to worry about stopping. I will fit the rear disc brakes when I fit the engine. http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b272/snowy70838/IMG-20160312-WA0009_zpst8u...

Not sure where you are but did you want a low mileage C18NZ to drop in? Will come complete with loom ecru etc.

Re: POD 1.8 Expression

Well one of the calipers was sticking and no amount of freeing off would unstick it. The car drove ok, the caliper released the pressure off the disc but the pads still just rubbed the disc a bit too much. So since the power is being slightly upgraded I decided to fit 256mm x 24mm discs and order re...

Fuel smell could be that there is fuel but not under pressure so the car doesn't start.

But it is simple to check for fuel pressure.

Re: Change Clutch Cavalier TD

Remove the inspection cover and see if you have a flat or pot flywheel.

If it is flat you can remove the clutch through the cover. If it's the pot type I don't think you can.

Re: Thermostat woes

Take it to your local engineers or fabricators. They will get them out for you no problem.

Unless you're close to north wales. Getting these out isn't too bad once you have done a few.
