Re: Cavalier replacement, it has finally given up.

If somebody came up with near enough the same amount that I could make off the wheels, sound system etc then I'd much prefer to see it maintained.

I needed a diesel for the mileage I do you see!

Re: Cavalier replacement, it has finally given up.

What happened to the Cav? It was looking great in your last update. Externally, it was sound but it's last MOT came with 11 advisories and most were breaks related. I bought the Golf and got a friend to drive the Cav home for me, went inside and when I came to move the Cav into the shed it wouldn't...

Re: Cavalier replacement, it has finally given up.

I went to VAG... Got a Passat Estate 1.8 20v Turbo... Awesome car!!! Until it started to go wrong... Use to have to disconnect the battery every night... Then I lost all the door controlled electrics... Had an ABS light come on and need the VAG-COM to read it... VW charge the earth and no local own...

Cavalier replacement, it has finally given up.

Here's my recently bought Golf GT TDi, 71,000 on the clock, remapped to 175bhp and currently getting around 50mpg. Sadly, the cavalier is now sat tucked away in the shed. She'll be a breaker soon so I'll be putting a few bits up on here for sale in the coming weeks. http://i1266.photobucket.com/albu...

Don't the messages sit in the outbox until they have actually sent? I imagined PM's had to be confirmed by Admins ..

I've been trying to contact Gary about something I bought off him Sunday, haven't heard from him for a few days...

Re: WHATS HAPPEN'D TO EVERYONE ON THIS SITE ???

Just put mine through for its MOT. All it needed was two new wiper blades, incredible. Third year in a row it has only been minimal, last year was a headlight bulb haha! Cavs are great! 131,000 miles and going strong for another year!

Re: Any 2001 fans? (Machining, laser cutting, 3D printing...

Thanks, it has been a good learning curve. Drawing up that window was far from easy, spent a good 2/3 hours trying to figure it out, I'm still learning. The original was carved out of oak in the 50's, crazy. We use tech similar to that too, but for different outcomes. Sounds like a cool idea, is it ...

Any 2001 fans? (Machining, laser cutting, 3D printing...)

A live brief I'm currently working on for a client's book launch is to make a studio scale EVA Pod miniature from the film 2001: A Space Odyssey. As I'm heavily using a mill, lathe, laser cutter and incorporating some 3D printing into the build I thought this may be interesting to some of you on her...

Re: Vauxhall Cavalier LS Hatchback MK3

Haven't updated this for a while, not a lot new other than it passed its mot in November without any problems, all it needed was a bulb! The advisories that were on the mot last year were nowhere to be seen this time so happy with that! Got it washed and polished this weekend since it was well overd...

Re: Vauxhall Cavalier LS Hatchback MK3

Got my colour coded mirrors back from the spray shop today. Really pleased with them, I'm going to try and get them on tomorrow. Only cost me £20 to get them sprayed on the condition I did all the prep work myself. The the guy I use has been very reliable and has done my sideskirts and bootlip spoil...

Bit of an update, I got the rear pressed plate on in its new irmscher surround and I spent yesterday realigning the rear mud flaps, the left one had been slightly wonky for months and it was doing my head in. http://i1266.photobucket.com/albums/jj533/markrobertyeo/DSCF0316_zps808506a3.jpg http://i12...
