Re: J422EGT
Anyone know what happened to the car?
J422EGT
Not spotted as such, but intrigued all the same. I sold my white Gsi back in 2012 chap called Neil Davies in Swansea, and he promised that he'd be restoring the car. I have tracked it on DVLA for a number of years, and it remained sorned, but not on the road. I wasn't convinced that it would ever ha...

The body looks silly clean for something which has sat so long, but I'd also be wary of the underside! Watching with interest...

Re: GSI2000 - Bare metal rebuild!
Epic resto! Scary that a clean looking GSi looks like that under the paint and under seal. You've got to wonder what state the scruffy ones look like underneath. A lot of the internal corrosion is down to water entering the cabin I bet any money. Is it a customer car, or personal project? I'm still ...

Re: new member approval
Just to add to this, I was on the 'Autoshite' forum earlier, where there were a couple of members who mentioned they couldn't join the forum. Don't know the ins and outs of it, but sounds like there is/was a problem with new accounts? Seems a shame to lose potential new members. The thread is here: ...

So I was right all along! Cheers for confirming it!Cavalier342 wrote:No they're GSi lights. Smooth lenses and the indicators are tinted. The later lenses (facelift) had a curve around the indicators.

Are Cav gsi lights fitted on Tvr Griffith?
Help me out here! I was always led to believe that the Tvr Griffith had rear lights specifically from the Cav Gsi. Someone is trying to tell me that they were actually sourced from a Cavalier hatchback as slightly different fitment.
Anyone clear this one up?!

Re: GSI 2000 save or break ...
Looks too good to break. Bear in mind there are so few left now... Also, check out the number plate compared to my old Gsi which sold to a guy in Wales a couple of months ago (who, incidently, is restoring it to show standard - he owns a garage ;)) http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c250/waferswafers...

Love that. Would be worth getting hold of the plod force (if you haven't already) and seeing if they could give you the lowdown on the car. Wonder if it's in any of 'police, camera action' clips?!

Re: 1992 Cavalier GSi in white
Now sold after 2 years of ownership
On a happy note, the new owner seems to be a Vx nutter, runs a bodyshop and seems confident he'll be sorting the crusty bits and getting her up to show standard.
So fingers crossed, and here's to a happy future in Wales ol' girl!
