Re: Glow plug relay loom...

I had to follow the wire back to see how far they had melted and I've decided I'm gonna try replacing the wires to the glow plug relay and a few other related wires that might have been damaged but I need a bit of advice :D This bit is the last of the melted wire(snipped): http://i1041.photobucket.c...

Tcut is polish and the coloured Tcut contains fillers that mask scratches/scuffs but doesn't last too long before it needs reapplied :thumb

Re: nauticlus blue or green

Gotta agree nautilus blue looks amazing with very little work, it has to be one of my favourite colours for a car.

Re: Glow plug relay loom...

My dad thinks it was old wiring that caused it but I think it was the relay sticking on, when I was sitting in the car I put the ignition and it started smoking slowly...

Glow plug relay loom...

Story: My cav decided it was time to melt the glow plug relay wiring loom while my girlfriend was driving, she said there was a squeal (alternator belt type of squeal) then white smoke started coming from the dash from the driver side mainly. I finished work at 12 and got a lift to the car and notic...

Re: Can I get Classic Insurance on a MK3 Cav? HELP!

Wow, they lubed you up good

Sorry to hear that, I believe you can get cavs on classic insurance but I think it's a load of hassle like sending pictures of the vehicle and mileage away.

Re: center vent mods?

I have my middle vents switched to off, only one of them blows warm air and the other is cold, pretty annoying but I would have the nerve to do that though lol.

Re: HID Legality?

Hids to be legal need washers (not including wipers) and auto adjusting headlights, for a MOT anyway. Angel eyes are projectors so the beam battern isn't scattered like reflector lenses (standard cav ones) so I guess it depends on the copper that you blind with them fitted in without projectors, I h...

Re: 1.7 TD Top Filter

It's a resonator/collection box, I think removing it will only just give you more noise. I'd like to know the actual answer to this as I was looking into it if it improved intake/flow :)

100w bulbs with angel eyes?

Hi does anyone have 100w bulbs in their angel eyes?

I'm waiting until next pay day then I'm buying a set in time for the MOT, I was going to run 100w bulbs after the mot but I'm not sure if the wiring harness/h7 plugs would would be cool with it?

Cheers!

Re: Car alarm and Vectra b locking ecu

both were kiekert so plug in and go :\ can't really see me doing anything wrong, the first one lasted a few days and I got another which was good until I "shorted" it connecting the blue/black to blue/black... unless I'm actually colour blind. :scratch

Re: Car alarm and Vectra b locking ecu

The only two wires I touched were the black/blue to black/blue in the scotch lock...? Anyway. I Disconnected the battery while I done the second part of my shift, came back after 4.5 hours and stuck the battery back on and the same thing happened, so I wanted home and couldn't be arsed (I phoned The...

Car alarm and Vectra b locking ecu

Hey bit of a problem I was playing with the remote locking so it would deadlock but I seem to have annoyed the alarm and it won't disarm... Video:

Back to work today... :(

I go back to work today at 4:30 after two weeks off and I feel sick at the thought of going. The only thing that keeps me going is the money and once I've paid my license off 18 months away, I'll be outta there, there are some pretty horrible people in there which don't make it any better.

Rant over.

Re: flattening primer?

I'll be using rattle cans, I just wasn't sure if the black coating/primer whatever it is should stay on but I'll just remove it and go from there. I wasn't gonna do it myself but two weeks on holiday from work, I'm a bit skint now :P

flattening primer?

Hey, I'm wondering... I've got a panel here for the cav it's got the black coating (ecoat ?) some of it was chipped away and I'm wondering if I should flatten the primer to make it level in bits that the coating has been chipped in storage. I've done a bit of searching and everyone has a different o...
