Finally finished!

Been pretty busy with the car...this is how it looked 3 weeks ago...still a lot to do: http://i1060.photobucket.com/albums/t450/cav32/IMG-20120601-00305.jpg Rebuilt all the suspension...everything 2 pack black with laquer...new wheels bearings, disc's, pads, nuts and bolts you name it i've replaced ...

Mikes car you see above is on Dymag 18's think they are 9's yes...in 95 it would of raced on 19's though i think he finds better tyre choice on the smaller wheels now.

My car is on 19's, i think they are 9 inch wide ill check tomorrow

Come down mate we currently have 32 cars entered all ex BTCC or DTM. Nope it wont be in works colour's (though it did race in them at Paul Ricard Touring Car World Cup 1995), it'll look exactly like this...minus bumper hanger off!:

Finally got all my bits back from blast cleaning....next they need crack testing and painting before we can rebuild wheels bearings blasted suspension.jpg I had two set's of wheels blasted 4 Dymag's: basted dymags.jpg and 4 Oz's: basted ozs.jpg The Dymag's are not mega strong and i have a lot of dam...

Thanks for the kind words :) It's been an ongoing project for the last 3 and half years, but myself and a pal have put a race together at the Silverstone Classic (biggest historic meeting in Europe) so i really have to pull my finger out to have it finished. Jim Pocklington is racing his Cav as well...

Yeah thats the car in 1997 at brands....and yes it has a reverse head swindon engine.

Full rebuild....then...im not really sure. I bought it cos i just love it and am happy to spend my weekend's making it look pretty again!! I know budget is a worry for everyone but i can't even begin to tell you how expensive bits are...if you can find them that is!!

This is how it was back in the day and how it was 2 years ago when i got it....now it's down to a bare shell.
