Re: Somewhere in the dark and nasty regions, where nobody go
look forward to seeing your new choice of cav, what you got in mind? (oh and welcome back by the way!) Not sure yet. Holding out for the right one i think. Just picked up an N reg Astra. Not ideal but for a 1.4 Auto with t& t for £150 it'll keep me going. morning Dave... Morning matey :thumb

For those that don't know i was here a while back as a mod, drifted off as i moved away from cavaliers. About a year or so on i'm looking for another one.
And thank you Gary.

Somewhere in the dark and nasty regions, where nobody goes..
stands an ancient castle. Deep within this dank and uninviting place, lives Berk, overworked servant of "the thing upstairs" But that's nothing compared to the horrors that lurk beneath the trap door, for there is always something down there, in the dark, waiting to come out... That'll be ...

Re: Fault code confusion
on the X20XEV engine (i'm making an assumption that is the engine) the fault code will clear when the fault is corrected UNLESS the fault is emissions based, then it'll need to be cleared. (had that with my vectra X20XEV when the MAF failed). Also, with the engine off you will get a crankshaftsensor...

Re: interior button
Yeah, the electic window system consists of a safety feature where it detects something jammed in the window and as such overides the mechanism. However, if the windows get stuck due to ice, or age or even slipping on the run they won't open/close properly as the module thinks there is something tra...

Re: should i be worried about this?
yes. Get it seen too. It killed off my Astra Mk2.
If you don't sort it, it will crack further, rust and might even rot the chassis, as mine did.

I probably won't be there. Don't have a Mk3 cav at the minute, and last thing i want to do is sit in a traffic jam trying to get out......

i can remember my flame pink... i mean red.... isuzu engined cav used to give me 400 miles to the tank local use (trip to work is 5 miles each way) and long distance i'd get 550 to 600.
I had the older engine with the valve under the air filter and didn't suffer much from lead footedness...

Illegal drag racing and why it needs to stop......
I find this very disturbing. A friend of mine works for the San Francisco Police Department and sent the attached photo of a drag race that went horribly bad. It's kind of disturbing to look at but serves as a reminder of what can happen when drag races occur. *P.S. What also bothers me is the guy i...
