Re: Time to part Company - Selling Price

Thanks for the reply and for letting the post sit here. The overall condition is very good/excellent. The interior is excellent/mint except for a tear on the drivers side arm rest vinyl. The arches I had to have rolled as it came with those alloys on. The guy who refurbed it never had any weight in ...

Time to part Company - Selling Price

Hi guys, I've not been active on here but have enjoyed popping on and reading threads. It's time to part company with my '95 Mk3 Sri but I have no idea where I'd start with a price or what it's worth. It's been rebuilt about 25,000 miles ago and the list of works is very long. It doesn't have servic...

Airbox mod / derestrict

Hey guys, It may have been done to death before but I want to know anyone with first hand experience of modding the airbox. I have a '95 Cavalier SRi 20l 16v. I've read enough to make my mind up about not going the cone filter route and so I want to ensure the K&N panel stands the best chance at...

Uprated HT Leads and Plugs - Splitfire

I was wondering whether anyone has delved into this light tuning modification and what they thought? Does anyone else have any thoughts on whether it'd be a waste of money or a handy mod. Also thinking about a replacement panel air filter, maybe K&N?
My car's a '95 SRi 2.0l 16v.

parcel shelf rubber straps

Both mine have snaped close to or on the insert into the shelf. Anyone any ideas how I can replace them?

Re: 17 inch wheels and wheel arches

Thanks guys. Yes, the poor pic of the rust is where the tyre ripped the outer skin of the wheel arch and made it protude into the arch and obviously lost the paintwork. I pushed the tear back in with a plastic handle and fairly forced it back but it still caught on the tyre again. I've had a mechani...

17 inch wheels and wheel arches

I appreciate this might have been covered before but not being particuarly conversant in suspension and off-sets etc I need some individual advice. My cav came with some nice 17 inch Wolfrace wheels but the previous owner must never have used it loaded in the back. The 17 inchers ripped the outer sk...

Re: The miracle of polish

I've used Autoglym for years. First the car shampoo, then Super Resin Polish, then Extra Gloss Protection. A 3 step that always gives brilliant results. Am interested in the Maguir's stuff though, might give their NXT Tech Wax a spin as they reckon it does the same as polish and wax in one!

Re: New Member 1995 Mk3 SRi

Cheers for your comments guys, I had an '08 Peugeot 407 SW Sport XS, fully loaded that I had to let go. I saw this way before I sold the Pug but borrowed the money to buy it so that i wouldn't miss it in the interim, a little risky but now it was well worth it! :D @Jimmy, any guides or help with thi...

New Member 1995 Mk3 SRi

Hi, just to say hello and show a few pics of the restored SRi I bought as my main runner. It was done by a neighbours friend who was a Vauxhall mechanic, he more or less rebuilt the engine with genuine parts and had it resprayed at a Vauxhall bodyshop. This list of works is extensive and I'll try to...

Re: Mk3 SRi 1995 2lt 16v Ecotec - New Owner

Welcome to the site. What year is your SRI? 8v or 16v? Thread title above says 'Mk3 SRi 1995 2lt 16v Ecotec'? pmsl  The car was restored by an ex-vauxhall mechanic. He has more or less rebuilt the engine using genuine Vauxhall parts and changed the oil several times since, so service wise, its...

Mk3 SRi 1995 2lt 16v Ecotec - New Owner

Yo guys, completely new to this scene. I've picked up a great SRi (pics to follow) that has had a lot of work done on it by a very competant ex-vauxhall mechanic. He's restored to original..... which is very nice, but I've got that K&N bug nibbling away. I spoke to K&N and they do the follow...
