Re: MOT's.. How much can you play with the rules
As already stated there is no maximum distance to travel to a pre booked MOT station. If you bought the car 100 miles away and MOT'd it down there. If it failed what would you do then? Just make sure the car is visibly road worthy as in tyres etc, And that you do have a pre booked slot at an MOT st...

Re: MOT's.. How much can you play with the rules
To drive without an mot is a 60pound fine. You can drive anywhere as long as its booked in and your not taking the piss. That's what I mean... Where/how do they draw the line at "taking the piss"? I'd say its ok, just might be a hassle if being pulled and having to explain the situation l...

MOT's.. How much can you play with the rules
...in this case, what I mean is, if you were to buy a car privately with no MOT, that is say, 100 miles from home, you have it booked in at your local MOT test station of preference, and drive it straight there from the previous owners house, are you driving it legally? (Assuming you're insured for ...

I didn't think it sounded right when the guy said it.. But it was that point of realisation that you're dealing with a proper tool and just agreeing with them to end the conversation and get out pmsl! I was able to monitor values (such as airflow in kg/hr, engine speed, wether your lights are on, wh...

Haven't actually plugged in opcom to compare current to previous data  the car wasn't instantly a rocket missile after changing but in my own head, it f...

Re: Not cavalier related but... CAN BUS data info needed...
There's a opcom forum? didnt think of looking for that! Not problems as such, just a couple of charactaristical things that have been like it for nearly as long as I've had the car, which I can't decide are actual "problems" or just me making stuff up in my head haha! There's alway...

Not cavalier related but... CAN BUS data info needed...
I hope its ok to post this on here, This question regards my 1.3 cdti Astra, 90bhp z13dth. Basically, I rigged up my op-com to said car, to check on a couple of small niggles. The thing that I'm focussing on in my naive suspicions, is my air flow meter. The readings I'm getting from op-com are hitti...

I have this old garden tractor... http://i1121.photobucket.com/albums/l512/maracus100/00000000-0000-0000-0000-00000000042C.jpg It's a German built Gutbrod, dated at 1957. It's got a single cylinder moto-sacoshe engine, and still works to this day on a near weekly basis. Cracking piece of kit for use...

...it's a question on every mans mind. The women will say it doesn't matter, but you never know if to believe them or not. The important thing is to not let it get to you.
Oh... You mean the engine

Anyone heard of quidco? You register your card on it and you get cash back from in store and online purchases. I don't think it's a scam as I heard someone banging on about it the other week and how good it is, and I saw they had a full page advert in the weekly tv magazine. Anyone on here registere...
