Re: AC not working
I think it is, but the UV fluid is now right under the radiator ( water ) on the left side ( near the compressor ) cant se nothing on the pipes, but i heard the hizz sound from there. I have to investigate it further.Gaz wrote:if its the rubber one just get a hydraulic place to replace the rubber section.

Re: AC not working
Filled the system today, and now its lit. The ac works, but there are smal holes in the pipe to the compressor, so it will not last.

Re: AC not working
i'm not too sure on the older systems but i do know that the newer systems do have a auto cut off for the compressor if it senses the coolant is low. it could be the same for the older systems such as the cavaliers Ok. Found a pdf here ( http://www.totalvauxhall.co.uk/2010/10/ ... 9aircon-2/ ) that...

Re: AC not working
Lifting this post up, as i now have time to sort it out again :) Changed the faulty Connector, but when i push the button, nothing happens ( the light in the switch is not lit ) Can this be of missing ac coolant? Or will it light up anyway? As i remember, there is a low pressure swith that will cut ...

Re: Engine may overheat
Nah, took the lid of, and let it run, but no change.
I saw that one of the hose that goes to the expansion tank is somewhat broken, if i wiggle it a bit, there is coming air and water out off it. Not much, couple of drops, but somethings off. Looks like the plastic pipe that goes out is broken off.

Re: Engine may overheat
Sounds like the original temp sensor was more accurate, thermostat usually opens at approximately 92-94, fan at approximately 102. Gauges and sensors will vary. No need to bleed the system, fill it, run with the cap off until the thermostat opens and then replace the cap. It should then be good to ...

Re: Engine may overheat
Nah, not an oil problem works fine. Changed the temperature switch, and now it sits around 100 degrees on normal driving. Before i changed it it sat on 95. The fan now kicks in excactly on the the start on the red, before it started a little bit earlier. Well, The thermostat works fine, around 92-93...

Re: Engine may overheat
Well. Thinking i have a oil cooling problem now. I switched off the ignition now, and let it sit for a couple of minutes, the needle did get up, not the whole way to the red, but over 100 degrees. I started it, and the oil lamp went on an off, and blinking. Maybe bad oil pressure, that lead its to g...

I don't mind the Orions. Decent sounding name and a lengthened rear section... Not bad little motors. Would rather have a old RS turbo. But they dont come cheap, there is 1 for sale at the moment now on finn.no and its priced to 6200£ :o http://www.finn.no/finn/car/used/object ... e=35815498 I thin...

Re: C20ne Vectra A
Is there a easy way to take out the box where the gauges are? Or do i have to remove the whole dash?
I think there is a box mounted to the surround, but not sure. Any tips?

Got my turbo lights on http://i1171.photobucket.com/albums/r555/kriegheim1/IMG_1177-1.jpg And the gauges fit perfectly, even if they were from a RHD. Some minor scratches, but got them cheap, and a additional cluster came with it. http://i1171.photobucket.com/albums/r555/kriegheim1/DSC00214.jpg http...

Was going to say add some ventilation holes in the back, 156's and 147's were chronic for this, and drilling extra holes was a factory solution 156 & 147? Sounds like a bad Alfa Romeo back catalogue.. Cheers for the tips chaps, thinking I am going to have to try removing the lenses as the...

Standard alarm wring from the looms of it. Ok, but the one behind the engine is supposed to be somewhere i think? Look at the yellow plug behind it, will say 95/91 or 95/98 there will be an 8 pin plug next to that. You are thinking about the RON plug, it is this one http://i1171.photobucket.com/alb...
