Re: Tensioner won't tension?
Me get rid? NEVER lol Did think about it but too attached to it now. It's gonna need some welding soon but going to the doctors tomorrow to get those tablets to stop smoking so I can spend all my money on the car instead!
It's been back on the road for a year now. Done me proud so far!

Re: Tensioner won't tension?
Is that you Troy? The water pump sounds promising as I changed the O ring on that after I found it leaking once i'd change the pump and the cambelt. Not going to get chance to look at it until friday now as i've volunteed to decorate which isn't too bad considoring i've had 3 days nag few to work on...

Re: Tensioner won't tension?
Don't think so as it's only been on the car about 14 months. Haven't got another one to measure it against, but i suppose the price of a new belt is bugger all to find out! Are those gates ones any good?

Tensioner won't tension?
Anyone ever had this? Is it something i'm doing wrong? Done plenty of cambelts in the past and never had a problem. This is the 3rd tensioner i've used now. Basically it does tension, but the needle doesn't come up to indicate a new or old belt. Suspect this is causing my rev counter to show 400rpm ...

I like the Vectra C door pin mod. Only because i've done it myself lol Plus you've made my mind up about 5 studing mine and fitting GSi wheels. It's a must!

The 1.9 CDTI with the TI in red lettering is the 150bhp version.
Virtually identical, just mapped slightly differently and different gearboxes IIRC from my time at the E.Port plant.

Re: My Sri estate XP
Really does look purposeful with the kit and bits on it. You say it had a new clutch at 22k, some of the dual mass flywheels were notorious for going, especially those 1.9's and even more so ones with tuning boxes fitted. Is it a 120 or 150 bhp 1.9? Plenty of tuning potential and now theres a kit to...

I'd be up for a little meet. Nice to get some miles under the cars belt now it's back on the road.
I live on the Wirral but the cars first big journey was to Billing and back so no worries in doing a few to get there as my faith in it has now been restored!
