That is superb, I am deeply envious. I'm gonna go and tint my headlights now in an effort to console myself!

I'm at your mercy yet again kind people! ;) We've been trying to get the OE Blaupunkt cd unit out from the Cav but it's stuck fast! We have the release pins and have inserted them into the unit as per the instructions but the bugger is stuck fast! Are there any more fixings hidden away somehere? :oo...

Re: Ecotec head compatibility question
It's all down to money really as I'm on a tight budget thanks to my poxy mortgage!
I'm looking for a head to try and sort out my Pineapple Sport but all I can find are X18XEs.

Ok guys, hope you can help me again. Could anyone tell me if an X18XE head will fit on a C18XEL block?

Re: Cav 2.0 CDX - Fuel Injection Relay
Success!!
Replaced the cam sensor on the Cav with the one off my Pineapple Sport and she started up much cleaner, no eml and a nice even tickover. Now I've just got to get another sensor to put back in my Astra!
Cheers for all the advice, it's been much appreciated!

Re: Cav 2.0 CDX - Fuel Injection Relay
Right this just gets weirder! I have rechecked the eml light codes again and I now get the following codes, 12 - 1 - 92 - 12. I'm now assuming that the fault (92) lies with the cam sensor, no idea at all what the lone 1 blink is all about.

Re: Cav 2.0 CDX - Fuel Injection Relay
Deffo fault code 29. EML blinks 12 three times, then 19 then 29 three times then 12 three times. Actually the fuel relay did look a bit suspect, the case had been split. However, have tried two known good relays and neither has worked and I'm unable to clear the code. According to my book, on US V6 ...

Re: Cav 2.0 CDX - Fuel Injection Relay
Now this is a real pain in the butt! I replaced the relay but still am getting the same fault displayed. Do I need to somehow reset the eml to clear the fault?

Cav 2.0 CDX - Fuel Injection Relay
Is there someone out there who could tell me where this little bugger resides? I'm getting a fault code 29, which relates to the relay, but having checked the three places I was told to look in (engine bay fusebox, fusebox under dash, relay bank under dash) it is nowhere to be seen! It's driving me ...

Thanks guys, I just wanted to be sure.
Also, am I right in thinking that the EGR valve can be cleaned in a similar way to the ICV?

Could someone help identify this part?
What is the component indicated by the arrow, what is its function and should there be something else connected to it? The car is our Cav 2.0 CDX.
Thanks in advance

Thanks in advance

Newbie's new Cav!
My Wife bought this Cav off fleaBay last week for the princely sum of £395, not bad considering only the week before it had £435 of work done on it! This will make a nice garage mate for my Pineapple Astra Sport. Anyway, it's bog standard at the moment but we are going to start some subtle mods when...

Newbie from Herts checking in!
Hello everyone. I'm new here so please break me in gently!! Wifey and I have just bought a metallic grey 1995 Cavalier 2.0 CDX to go with our Astra Pineapple Sport. We're both avid Vauxhall fans now so hope that you'll be able to pass on to us the wealth of info/tips you all must have! If you...
