Re: C4V V6 W.I.P THE BEGINING!!
What do you have planned for the car? I understand what you're saying with regard to taking a step back from shows. I'm glad that I didn't go to any in 2015. I'm making up for lost time now, mind! Haha!

Re: James' 1995 Manual CDX V6 Saloon
Did you get this fixed, James? The black seal inside the coolant expansion tank cap can become compromised with age, refusing to hold pressure and allowing fluid to boil out. The same happened to my VXR (and an Omega before it). A new lid fixed the problem. Nice and cheap.

I recently turned to the Dark Side (I now have a Sky satellite receiver bolted to the side of my house), and an advertisement came on for an animated series called 'Archer'. Same typeface as your logo! I'm guessing this isn't a coincidence?! What's the connection?! http://editorial.sidereel.com/Imag...

Saturday White Fever is a new Vauxhall ADAM colour. What are you referring to as "Vx distributor"? Is it a genuine GM paint can?

Re: humbucker's 1994 Vauxhall Cavalier Turbo 4x4 (Turbo #2)
The car's new turbocharger featured turbine, compressor and bearing housings that were in totally the wrong position for a Vauxhall application. I’m not even sure they were correct for their claimed Cossie fitment! Either way, I needed to ‘clock’ the housings to my preferred position before returnin...

Re: humbucker's 1994 Vauxhall Cavalier Turbo 4x4 (Turbo #2)
The first problem occurred when I noticed that the stud holes on the manifold were threaded. In other words, there was no way of slotting the manifold over studs that were screwed into the turbocharger’s manifold mating flange. Doh! http://www.mediajustice.co.uk/images/cavalierturbo2/IMG_0509.jpg Ig...

If you're concerned that engine mods are affecting idle, you can set your desired idle RPM via Tech1.

Of course, I'm biased, but Performance Vauxhall magazine is only £19.99 per year to have each and every issue of the mag delivered direct to your door. Daft not to at that price. http://shop.kelsey.co.uk/subscription/TVX http://shop.kelsey.co.uk/images/tvxsub.jpg http://shop.kelsey.co.uk/subscriptio...

Where are you looking for parts? Autovaux is excellent for genuine (and non genuine) parts: http://www.autovaux.co.uk Genuine part search (sister company to Autovaux) is also excellent, with heavily discounted prices on genuine stock (although you'll need a part number): http://www.genuinepartsearch...

Wynn's carb spray is what I have used to clean pretty much every mechanical part on my builds. It is especially good at cutting through grime, carbon, dirt, oil and other contaminants. It is the ideal remedy for a sticky valve.

Just to confirm. Cruse control was never fitted from the factory on the Cavalier or it's Opel counterpart the Vectra a. Never been that fussed about cruse control to be honest with you. "Credit crunch? What credit crunch?!" I used to use it all the time on my Omega Elite. Kept fuel usage ...
