And finally Dan (Humbucker) in his Saab:
That was a good day. A shame I returned to the car to find it full of dust. Note to self: next time, close the roof!

Looking forward to this year's bash.

Eibach Pro-Kit springs are the way to go. Top quality product, should deliver a sensible 35mm drop.

In fact, I do know of a set going for £350. I was only after the front seats, so couldn't really justify the price. Speak to CEMEX (Hayden Rees).

Re: Leather seats.

Diplomat seats are a different design to the Turbo seats, the latter having an extended base cushion, deeper bolsters etc. You wouldn't be able to fit the covers from one to the other, and the rear bench on a Turbo is a different design to non-Turbos. The only option you have is to hold tight for a ...

Re: Leather seats.

The Cavalier Turbo didn't come with white dials. These are aftermarket inserts supplied by Lockwood et al. The white oil and pressure gauge dials that many fit were only standard equipment on Calibra Turbos (and I think late Calibra SE9s).

Re: Back after a 10 year rest!

Point 1 could well be rotten rubber. Point 2 is almost certainly ignition components: leads, plugs, coil pack. I have a brand new Bosch OEM V6 coil pack up for grabs if you're interested? As mentioned above, points 3 and 4 are the symptom of a blocked 'elephant trunk' drainage hose. A quick and easy...

That's my preferred method too. It makes the bottle go a lot further and avoids overspray on bodywork.

Re: Back after a 10 year rest!

Hello and welcome. Awesome looking V6 you have there. Glad to hear it's back on the road. Did it need any work for the MOT? Presuming the engine is original, it's either a GLS or an original "V6" trim model with lots of goodies added on. Am I right? The lack of air-con and the grey carpet...

Re: The greatest driving roads

So, what did I get up to yesterday? Well, almost three years to the day since our club's North Norfolk A149 coast run, I drove the same route again, but this time I did it in the Vauxhall Heritage Centre's own Mk5 Astra VXR Nurburgring Edition. Inspired by our earlier outing, I expanded the route an...

My fault - trigger happy with 'submit' instead of 'preview' when correcting broken link. Feel free to repost.
