Re: Vauxfest 2018 - Billing Aquadrome 1st - 2nd September

Just posted up on the cavalier corner group so time will tell, I have had a word with my mate Tim, he is well up for joining and I think his brother Jamie will also be attending so that's another cav and a pair of friendly faces :thumb

Re: Vauxfest 2018 - Billing Aquadrome 1st - 2nd September

I will post up on the group today explaining that we are trying to unofficially organise getting mk3 Cavaliers parked together at Vauxfest although there is to be no club banners or stands due to the way that the event is set up and that all persons willing to join must let me know asap so I can rel...

Re: Vauxfest 2018 - Billing Aquadrome 1st - 2nd September

Me and my mate Dylan will be attending in the Diesel cav, at the moment our plan is to meet up with my mate Tim and convoy down to billing, I will ask and see if he likes the idea of joing us in his CDX. Now my cavs on the road I've still got a few things left to change/fit so hopefully I will find ...

Re: Cavalier - B204R Conversion

I know a few bits about the Saab conversions as I've looked into them myself if you haven't already I would suggest joining the Saabworks group on facebook as there are a lot of knowledgeable people on there. The front hubs and legs are the same but there are two types of spring cups, I think the ea...

Re: My 56k 1.8 cavalier L. Phase 1 model.

If it was me i'd have both the cambelt and water pump done due to the age of them to be on the safe side, the water pump could possibly be the original?
Had both of mine done last year at 54K, they'd last been done in 2008 at around 38k I think?

Re: My 56k 1.8 cavalier L. Phase 1 model.

I remember you putting a post on my WIP for my white 1.6L hatch, nice to see you got another like your first, would be cool to get the two together at some point but I suspect your far away from me.

Looks very clean and similar millage on it to when I bought mine at 53K.

Ah, costly mistake on my part then, the insert's going to cost more than what I payed for the whole used assembly, oops.

Re: 1994 Cavalier LSi C20NE (was C18NZ) Work-horse

Oh Eck!! I discovered today that my brand new gear knob will not fit the astra gear stick. Gutted!! The astra collar is much bigger. :wall If you want to keep the shorter astra gear stick and use the cav gear knob, you can get a standard cavalier gear stick and remove the black and cream plastic pi...

Re: The System 90 - 901 Alarm System

Very informative and helpful writeup, my 901 has decided to malfunction, setting off the siren and not being able to turn it off was the first problem, so I had to remove it in Tesco car park late at night and in Asda carpark midday after I reconnected the unit after the problem temporarily stopped....

I can imagine that things have gone wrong in there many, I've seen a few from your updates but i'm sure it's going to be much more resistant to the weather and road. The changes such as the headlights and other upgrades being an improvement over the standard and not mention that seeing the car start...

Re: Mike and James' 1990 CD Auto

Don't know how I haven't noticed before but it's identical to the cav in the "Car of the future today" advert, only noticed after admiring the stunning colour.
Reminds me that I really love standard pre facelift saloons as well.
Also reminded me that I really need to do my gearbox oil!

After watching this thread since it was announced that the car would be brought back to its original glory if not even better
It's looking stunning now so can't wait to see it all washed and dust free.

Re: TD Daily Hatch

Spent most of my time this weekend at the unit with my mate Dylan, finally getting some work done on the car, got nearly everything out of the car bar the dash, doorcards and the passenger side footwell foam/sound deadening. The hardest and most time consuming bit that we encountered was clearing th...

TD Daily Hatch

I thought it was time to make a thread, after owning the car for over a year I thought it to be right to do it now, the car is currently on SORN in a lockup where its being kept nice and dry, after the work done by HAIRIBO it's a great car that was a pleasure to drive and guaranteed to be mechanical...

Re: Cavalier 1.6L

It's been way too long since my last update so this will be a small catch up, the car is finally back on the road (First time in my 20 month ownership :? ) It is also on as my first car after passing my test, would have had it much sooner but took a big gap out of having lessons. Back in December I ...

I took the visors out and put them in the L a little while ago as the project was put on hold, I decided to add this information and images as the car is now in the For Sale section due to needing the space on the drive.

It's awesome that Kirk's cav got into Performance Vauxhall and I'm really happy to have provided the dash, glovebox, fuse box cover and door seals to his car from my L during my interior swap.
I'll definitely be purchasing this issue.

Re: Removing and installing heated seat floor plugs

I think I understand now, the reason the ground disappears into the loom behind the dash is because it goes to a ground behind the clocks. I'm removing the floor loom from the 95 LS into the 92 L, so all I have to do is connect the live wires to their places in the X6 which I've taken a photo of and...

Removing and installing heated seat floor plugs

I spent a bit of time before and I've removed the black/yellow and black/red wires that plug into the big connector behind the passenger side kickpanel. The two brown wires (one from each plug) need to be removed but they go into another wrapped bunch of wires. Where do these go and how are they sep...

It says in the add that there out of Diplomat or CDX,just asked and guy said he took them out a GSI.So what your saying is that if the bench seat has 2 pull straps to release it then they wont fit?I have no idea lol. basically they wont fit unless you modify the rear bases from your old seats and s...

Re: leather seats

I forgot about turbo seats.... those rear seats wont fit without alot of modification, they're from a Cavalier Turbo by the sounds of it, they wont fit due to being for a different rear suspension setup, leather seats from a Diplomat or CDX will fit directly, 60/40 split rear seats.
