Re: Immobiliser Problem

ok so the best bet is to replace ecu with a non immob ecu? Gaz said he has had problems doing so. All I can tell you is that I have seen a '95 c18nz running on a pre transponder ecu with a key missing it's chip, it is therefore the path I would look to take.. Update on this issue.. i went for the c...

Re: Immobiliser Problem

Re: Immobiliser Problem

Depends if you known someone that has the kit to program it without going to the dealer, and if you have the security code I guess. Dealer will probably not be comparable to recycled units. Just make sure they come from the same car if you go this route. ok, and what about if i got another immob ec...

ok is that a costly job to have it reprogrammed or would it be cheaper for me to go to a local scrappy and get another set? also would a vectra ecu work on the cav? thanks

Re: Immobiliser Problem

Do us a favour and split the key in half and take a pic of whats inside and post it up. The key might look like it doesnt come apart but it should do. heres a pic of the keys i have with it, the open one is for the doors, the one un-opened one is for ignition, sooo the chip must of been taped or st...

Re: Immobiliser Problem

The barrel slipping out moves the key away from the receiver ring, which will affect it, been only if there is a chip in the key to read. When the immobiliser has an issue the engine management light will flash at a rate of once per second. Yes the engine management light is flashing rapidly when i...

Was thinking of sending an live ignition feed directly to the fuel pump to see if that would fire it up? any thoughts?

Re: Immobiliser Problem

So you have a cav that has the transponder around the ignition barrel but you haven't got a chip inside your key? Have you lost the chip? Have you dropped your key recently? If you never had a chip in your key maybe it was strapped to the other transponder that you took off? Yes no chip inside the ...

Anyone got any ideas?? And ive heard that some people cut the springs instead of buying proper lowering ones, ...

Do i keep the 2.0l gearbox with the 1.8 head on the 2.0l block?? :? :D
