Re: Return to a Cavalier - Satin Red Diplomat.

I've just read this thread, think I've got a new pair of rear air assisted shocks for a Cav, got them with a load of Manta parts a few years ago. Perhaps too late as you'd mentioned ordering std ones.

Re: Upholstery cloth

I'm restoring a Vauxhall Firenza and I sourced a perfect rear seat which the trimmer used to repair my front seats. I never checked the cavalier to see if there was enough material in the rears. A good trimmer could also repair a drivers seat from a good passenger seat.

Re: Cav Turbo issues

Sorry about the duplicate post, I couldn't see the original! The car is totally std, 61k miles mature owners all it's life so not fleeced too much, not smoky in any way. I'd replaced a few dodgy hoses a few years ago, just had another quick look again and nothing obvious, might look closer later. Th...

Cav... Turbo query.

Hi Folks, I'm looking for a bit of advice. I have a nice original early Cav Turbo, 61k miles. On the way to Billing this year a mate drove most of the way and he thought that the turbo was coming in too late at around 4500 rpm. He reckoned it should have been powering in from around 3000 rpm. If I f...

Cav Turbo issues

I had a mate driving my Cav on the way to and from Billing and he reckons the Turbo isn't working properly as it doesn't cut in until about 4500 rpm. It's an early car, so not too many electronics, completely std and low miles.

What would be normal for these cars and what should I check?

Re: VBOA National Rally, Billing Aquadrome, 11-12th July 201

I've always been with the DSG in previous years, coming in a Cav Turbo this time but all the people who have replied to this topic seem to be parking with other clubs.

Presumably this club has somewhere for us to park together?

Re: A hello but with sadness

It's a pity the Insurers were involved but I suppose you had no choice at the time. You could ask them to withdraw but there are probably towing charges and possibly storage to pay and the contractors will have no mercy on you. To gain entry there has to be some damage plus the steering damage as we...

Re: So, I had a little accident...

The problem with these claims management companies is that they usually charge the other insurer a fortune on car hire for you, repairs/replacement of your car, and overpriced solicitors for an injury claim you weren't intending to make. You know what....we all pay through the nose to keep them in b...
