Not much left of that. What condition are the fingers on the presure plate like? Ive got a new F20 thrust bearing , but googled it and people seem to think they are different , will have to see


If not will buy a paddle clutch kit , as they come with a new one........ as im not taking the box back out again !!! :lol:

Since i put the F28 in on saturday all has been fine then today on the way to work made a really loud sqreeching noise when the pedal was all the way to the floor at every set of lights , but fine when normal driving along , selects every gear fine Then on the way home, noise got even louder then so...

Nope , had to remove the subframe , started with ball joints first , rear engine mount , then starting from the rear , undo the 2 wishbone bolts 16mm socket then the 2 main subframe bolts in the middle 18mm socket , then undo the other to 16mm socket at the front support the engine on a trolley jack...

vid from last week , f20 nackered clutch & screamer pipe at 10psi with alot of clutch slip :roll:

all is back to normal , no clutch slip , and 6 gears have made such a difference on the comuite to work :lol:

At the moment i have a GSI front bumper in burgendy with the big mouth cut out so i could get the cooler in , looks odd , but will be getting it sprayed soon.

Had my M.O.T today My cavalier failed its M.O.T today .... on the ABS light failing to illuminate. ( 1994 cavalier xe saloon ) This was a shock as it has never been visable since i had it , never had ABS before , so didnt know there was a light , thought it was the warning light for the brake light ...

when i removed the shifter , it had 94 stamped on it , so i think is passed its best , think the metal selector rod was out of a diplomat cavalier ,

after crimbo , the bumpers are going on , and the engine has had a few christmas presents :D

went over to a mates last night , picked up an F28 for cheap in good nick , came with standard rear mount , front mount and linkage http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh101/redtop4000/DSC00468.jpg aswell as 4 x cav turbo rims , other 3 are on the seats :D made an f28 collar , for the 2wd conversion ...

best thing to do is leave the top part of the bumper support bar there, ie cut away all the lower part of where its a box section and just leave a flat bit at the top running from side to side, that way you can attach the intercooler to it and support the bumper to stop it sagging i ended up spendi...

hi folks , things have been a little slow , due to work hours taking a major crash , cav is still going , had to change the alternator last week , battery light was blinking its tits off ,multimeter confirmed it was shot what a job that was , had to drop the alternator out the bottom of the car :wal...
