Re: Cavalier 2.0 Petrol, C20NE, Running Problem
Sorry for the delay. but no it does not overheat. It gets up to temperature and the electric fan comes on and down she goes.James McGrath wrote:If it's a C20NE then it won't have a carburetor. They are multi point fuel injection engines.
Is it overheating at all?

Dad's Old Astra Mk 3
Hello, Apologies if this breaks any rules but looking for advice. My dad had an old Astra Mk3 - 1994 that he used and I kept it for my Mum after he passed away. She could get in and out of it okay. Well the car has failed its MOT requiring work on the bonded suspension units both sides, corrosion ne...

Re: Cavalier 2.0 Petrol, C20NE, Running Problem
wow, thanks guys, that gives me a load of things to check. The card does not overheat, when it gets to temp, the fan comes on and down it goes. One thing I have noticed (may or may not be related) is when I leave it to idle for a while, it starts to get the lumpiness again and, I think, would stop a...

Cavalier 2.0 Petrol, C20NE, Running Problem
I have a 1993 cav which starts first time, every time but after it has warmed up and then I turn off the engine for a stop, it has trouble starting as if it is flooded. If I turn it over for a while and tickle the throttle, it will start but lumpy until revving seems to clear the lumpiness. After th...

Time to Introduce: 1993 Cavalier Owned from new
Hello, I have been a member since 2015 but only got up enough courage to post something. Worried I will break the rules or bore everyone! I have a 1993 (L) Cavalier 2.0 LSI which we have had since new. It was my wife's company car which we then bought when she left. It has just passed 90K miles but ...

Heater illumination - Questions
Dear All, My Cavalier's illumination left a lot to be desired, only having the speedometer lights and odd switches illuminating. So have replaced several bulbs. So replaced the clock bulb - no problem replaced the lighter bulb - sort of no problems replaced one bulb behind the heater controls - quit...

Re: Handbrake Grip Removal
Hi All,
Sorry for the time taken to reply but suggestions gratefully received and now the gaiter is sorted.
I have some other questions on illumination lights so will start a new post.
My cavalier is doing well. May see it around the Fareham area. Only a 2.0LS but quite tidy.
Cheers,
Rupsey

Handbrake Grip Removal
Hello All, After a member kindly supplied handbrake and gear lever gaiters as mine were shot, I have successfully managed to fit the gear lever one. Looks great. Now to the handbrake gaiter. This requires removal of the handbrake grip which Haynes says will just pull from the handbrake. Well I have ...
