My sympathies. The cables go to a plug that clips into the actual switch. Your best bet would probably be to get a plug from a breakers; this shouls have the coloured cables attached so it's a case of splicing each wire in the loom to the same colour wire from the plug. That's good to hear and the right thing to do.

Think the Carlton is a donated vehicle and I believe it's done about 200k miles so even, if it went to auction, might not be the best long-term buy.
