Temperature of the Exhaust System Components

Hello everyone, Done a search on here and a bit of googling but I don't seem to be able to get any figures. For the purposes of applying paint to the exhaust system in order to increase its life expectancy and prevent corrosion for as long as possible, does anyone have a reasonable idea as to the te...

Help with correct fuel tank selection and finding a supplier

Hello everyone, I need to find a new fuel tank for the Cavalier (95M, V6, Auto). Could any of you help me find a supplier and also confirm fitment details please? I filled it up at the weekend, and there’s a heavy smell of petrol around the car. I’ve had a good look around it and underneath, and the...

Re: Was Cruise Control ever available?

Thanks Matt.

Yes I've seen the How2s and it's something I do intend to tackle, thanks for the link.

Just wondered if it was ever available from factory and invite a bit of good natured moaning for it's omission

Was Cruise Control ever available?

As the title suggests, i've always wondered if Cruise Control was ever available in any way on a Cavalier. Was it possible to get it as an option at all? I don't have any brochures to check. I think I can answer my own question with a big no based on the fact that I've never seen it in any Cavalier,...

Re: Repairing Air Conditioning Pipes

Thank you very much indeed for your reply. Yes, I'm aware that the air conditioning system is dangerous to work on and illegal due to both the pressures and the refrigerant, and if it was still gassed, I would have got the system professionally emptied. But the system is totally empty, I've given bo...

Re: Cav refuses to fire

Because it seems to start with a powerful battery I suspect that its a good old fashioned electrical fault. I think either the spark plugs are at fault and that they are coked up or fouled in some way or there is an electrical earth fault between the engine and the chassis. Because it starts with a ...

Re: Cav refuses to fire

Hello Chris, Just wondered if I could ask a few questions about this problem, just to be clear and confirm a few things? Is the car an automatic? Does the car always eventually start on its battery, but it just takes repeated efforts? Or is it the case that sometimes it won’t start at all and then s...

Repairing Air Conditioning Pipes

Hello all, Please see The Lounge forum for my introduction and hello, but hello once again to you all, I'm a long time lurker and first time poster. V6 CDX owner saying Hello with first post

Hello everybody, I’m a long time forum lurker, and now first time poster. I thought I’d do a post in here first to introduce myself and say hello before I start asking questions and you all think who the hell is this, waltzing in here without so much as a “good morning”, that’s just rude. So a since...
