True
but I can't think of a good reason why any 2.0 GM Family 2 block wouldn't make the transition

Re: MK2 2.0 inj. into MK3 - possible?
Yes
the 20SEH featured in both the Mk II and Mk III Cavaliers, assuming that by 'MK2 2.0 inj' you mean the 8v unit
I haven't done it myself but I would imagine it's very straightforward

How many heads have you got?
As far as I know, when cars go out of production and into that '25 years of spares' malarky, it's trim that normally dries up first.
Give autovaux a try I suppose or ask geezer behind the desk to extend his enquiries to Europe.

I've no idea how long it's been standing for but I would consider stale fuel sticky injectors possibly both I would give it a full service (if you haven't already) and if you don't feel inclined to empty the tank then put some new fuel on top of it and a can of fuel system treatment. Check your HT s...

...What I can say is that since replacing the rotor arm it has started up again before giving up the ghost completely. It wouldn't start up at all after conking out before the rotor arm was changed, which I find odd. So at least I now know it's the ignition "side" of things. I was thinkin...

I can't do the squiggly thing on top of the 'a' in tensao :) Sorry Diego, I didn't mean to be rude, with English not your first language I could have said it more simply If the part no for C20XE and X16XE chumbo alta tensao are the same, ...

HT lead
I tend to think of everything behind the coil when I hear 'ignition cable'
If the part no is the same for the X16XE then assuming it's still available I would say that's the part you're after
Do you have any pics of your Chevrolet Vectra GSi C20XE?

Re: Brake warning light
Hmm, so you've done some recent work on your brakes Don't rule out the possibility that you've left your pad sensor wiring hanging over the spinning disc. If you weren't careful to re-house the wiring into all those clips on the strut, there is a very good chance that the disc will have cut into the...

Re: Heat shield
I would suggest taking it/them off and stress testing it (bending it around with your hands) for unseen cracks and fractures. If it's sound then refit with new bolts, making sure they aren't too long; it could be battened down as far as it will go but still shy of holding the heat shield firmly in p...
