Sorry, yes it's the v6 it's a weezing whining noise but after the engine warms up its not as loud,

Hi all, my engine has started weezing around 3500rpm , has anyone else suffered from this or had a similar problem?

Hi just a update, the battery light still comes on so I do think the alternator is slowly dying! Question is am I doing long term damage by still running it ? Also it's a v6 cav and all the alternator companies say there is loads of variants of the alternator, will I need to remove it first in order...

Cheers boys! Lowrider Dave, did u do any work to you v6 was it in good condition? Since I've had the v6 it's gone sluggish it's certainly a lot noiser than it was , I've given it thorough service cleaned the breathers changed ht leads and plugs for good quality ones etc

Also have the oil cooler replaced cambelt as well , do I go to a Vauxhall specialist orca engine specialist?

To be honest just a rebuild to factory standard like u said head skimmed valves Pistons etc .

Drove home tonight, no light on ! The only thing was the was a slight whining on start up from the alternator area but so went once the engine was running

Cheers pal also I only do a short journey of 7 miles every other day could this be another reason I put the volt meter on the battery when it wasn't started and it read 12.

Faint battery light!
Evening all drove home tonight and the battery light came on but only very dim. As the journey progressed the light went off completely , luckily I have a volt meter in the car, it went from just under 13 to 14 volts, also the battery is new too. Is my alternator on its way out?

Hi when I turn on the ignition all the various lights come on the dash then turn off, except handbrake, brake , battery and the EML light is this correct or should the EML light go off? When I start the car all the lights go off and stay off? Thanks

My rear window appears to given up de misting, before I start investigating is it generally the rear window or is it sometimes an easy fix?

Hi everyone this is my first post I hope ur all well, I have got a lovely v6 manual and was wondering about any engine modifications that there are avalible , has anyone had one re mapped or chipped? I know there's is a light fly wheel upgrade too, any advice would be greatly appreciated cheers
