Re: Vectra-B Remote Central Locking - Discussion

You've done a lot of work. You're awesome! Props to you for putting so much time into it. I am though super confused. What is the difference between 90-564-349 and 90-457-682? Do I need both? I really am waiting for you to get everything done and then try to list what needs to be done from A to Z st...

Re: Vectra-B Remote Central Locking - Discussion

and this is done using the diagnostic port found under the bonnet? Assuming that's the case where can I buy a connection to this port?

Also I have none of these applications. Will it be better to go to a keys professional to program it?

I have been searching for a module online and can't find anyone that has a key with it.

How can it be paired it to a key?

Re: Vectra-B Remote Central Locking - Discussion

I have a question. What is the "comfort closure circuit" exactly? The Keikert module is good to have if I only want to add the remote locking/unlocking with the hazards flashing and maybe internal light when unlocking yeah? It's tiny and seems simple. And would deadlock still work using th...

Re: Shifter gaiter

Well, I don't believe it is the ball and socket thingy that is making the rattle noise. Check this video out: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1--bK-GUYP91ub_-LnZnjpDprKwEAK0U_/view?usp=sharing It is a metal kind of noise. I tried holding that pin all the way at the bottom but that wasn't the source ...

Re: Shifter gaiter

Well, It was a success. The removal went smooth. I though had to pull it hard from both the upper and lower plastics together. Pulling it from the lower side (closer to handbrake one) didn't work. Looking at the staple holes, it was way more white than the other plastic. So yeah I kinda feel that it...

Shifter gaiter

Hello all, I want to take off the shifter gaiter to fix some rattling noise that comes from my shiter stick as well as make another leather gaiter to replace my existing one because its 25 years old and dead. I have taken off the handbrake gaiter, I though don't know how to take the shifter one off....

and just so you know I am waiting for your investigation of the Kiekert module. It seems so simple than the other one I though didn't want to buy one as the other original how to mentioned that there is some function that doesn't work.

Re: AC circuit

Well, I always hear you guys talking about the Haynes manual but I have no idea where to get one. I understand that the cooling fan does kick in at low speed, but this should only be when the AC is turned on. I am talking about the front fan not the radiator one. Sounds like something in the switchi...

Re: Re: Vectra-B Remote Central Locking - Discussion

I am also looking forward to doing this retrofit.
But, I have a dumb question. Umm, what associates the keyfob to the remote locking ECU? Or should the used remote central locking ECU come with its fobs? I am surprised as you have new parts.

AC circuit

Hi all, Recently my AC stopped working. Diagnosing the issue I found that the AC harness was destroyed, as I have been in a collision. I had to clean up the mess caused from the impact. I taped the wires so that no shorts are there and then wrapped them in harness cloth like tape. I have also change...

Well, I would like to thank you a lot for the info. Fortunately, it worked on its own when I tried to diagnose the issue. I believe that I was a fool when I first checked if it worked. It was getting kinda late and dark that day. I would like to thank you again for the info it would be really helpfu...

Re: Fan works on the high speed only

Well, Thanks a lot for the info. I will check them out and let you know how it went. It's a C16NZ with air con. I am wondering though what is the other switch used for, the switch I am talking about is the 2 wire plug located in the radiator side housing right below the fan temperature switch I just...

Fan works on the high speed only

Hi all, My radiator fan started to work lately on the high speed only. I went ahead and replaced the sensor located in the radiator side which has a 3 wire connector. The problem remained though. What happens exactly is that the radiator fan starts at 95 degrees on the high speed and stops after the...

Re: Checking if radiator fan is operating correctly.

So umm, It ended up being a clogged radiator. In my very last reply, I mentioned that I recently flushed the cooling system and went from normal water to green coolant. I have used water for more than a year. My theory is, flushing the system before using the green coolant moved the rust around whic...

Re: Checking if radiator fan is operating correctly.

So, I have checked for air pockets in the system and everything was fine, none were found. I made sure that the fan works on both speeds! So, I ended up going to a opel mechanic. What he did was remove the thermostat spring, keeping it open all the time. Although I didn't want to do this and do thin...

Re: Checking if radiator fan is operating correctly.

Well yeah I guess you got it right. It is an Opel Vectra A. Maybe that's why. I thought Vauxhall Cavalier MK3 and Opel Vectra A are identical. Unfortunately, the temp goes all the way up to 100. The fan works. I want to test the 2 speeds of the fan. Umm, anyway I won't be able to reply soon because ...

Re: Checking if radiator fan is operating correctly.

There is a separate small fan for the AC. The radiator however has only one fan. I have bought the car with AC since 1995 :D I don't know why is that surprising to most of the people here. You aren't the first one who says so. I will try to check for air pockets in the cooling system and will let yo...

Re: Checking if radiator fan is operating correctly.

Another tiny piece of info, my dash has the temp gauge having the last mark as 100°c and not 110°c.

I have seen dashes with 110°c I don't know but I believe those are ones for bigger engines than mine.

Re: Checking if radiator fan is operating correctly.

Sorry for not mentioning my spec. I have the 1.6 SOHC. It is a 1995. Although, blasting metal through the speakers, I am certain that the fan turns on as I drive. I have also made sure that it works while stationary by getting the car up to temp. I am also sure that the water circulates through the ...

Checking if radiator fan is operating correctly.

I am having an overheating issue lately. Everything is looking good. I can't spot something wrong. Considering that the issue happens only when am at a stop, I am starting to suspect that it is the fan. It though works as the dash shows 90+ ° C. I guess though that it has 2 speeds. I don't know how ...
