Re: Hi guys EML light issue.
Just another thought about the petrol pipe i mentioned.about a year ago the original pipe from the pump to the tank sprung a leak and i renewed it.it was slightly narrower in it's gauge but it was all i could find at the time and was a bugger to fit but determination saved the day and i managed in t...

Hi guys EML light issue.
Hi guys my car H reg 2 litre injection has thrown the EML light 3 times now in the last 2 wks.when this happens the engine won't rev more than just above tickover. after a short while the engine starts and will rev normally but i would rather find and fix the fault rather than rely on it clearing it...

Hi Guys,a long awaited update on my 1990 Cav GL. since taking ownership of the car i have been making small changes that help to improve the cars look (imo) first off i was given a set off the faux wood door trim inserts by Alan from Paisley and i then sourced a set of alloys from a Cesaro that i ha...

Re: VX4/90
My older brother had one of those in the early 70s he loved it and it was pretty quick as said. i was a young mechanic in those days and i was fitting a re-con engine for him in a railway arch garage. he already had a block&tackle rigged up and we removed the tired engine.so far so good.so whils...

Re: Vauxhall Senator
Sri wheel fitted this A/noon looking great but more importantly so much more comfortable in the hands and because of it's rim thickness it is easier to steer.
Cheers fella.

Re: Vauxhall Senator
No worries with those comments you deserve them. when the new wheel arrives i will do what you suggest to remove the original and store it safe.so basically just do what you have written to remove the wheel? i was wondering if i needed to loosen the clamp bolt at the bottom of the column.?
Cheers

Re: poor starting running rough then cutting out and harder
So after a discussion with my brother he confirmed that the only work done to the car whilst in his care was the fitting of both rear springs due to one breaking hitting a pothole.
he is very sure no other work has been done. so the mystery remains as to who left 3 plugs slack 2 years ago.

Re: poor starting running rough then cutting out and harder
Robsey, would the possible damage you mention to the ECU etc show up straight away or could it weaken a component and show a fault later? i ask this as the car is showing no issues at all and driving perfectly. i'm waiting to talk to my brother about any work done to the car so i can look at the wor...

Your not wrong Robsey with your thoughts. i will be having a conversation with my brother to discuss who has been working on the car in the 18 months of his care. i need to know for safety's sake what he has been doing and if there is no proper documentation from him them i will be going over the ca...
