Re: Got those old broken clutch blues.

Six months down the line and she is still running like a good 'un. Over the next few months I should be getting some new body parts fitted to the old girl. She deserves a bit of TLC.

Re: '95 Expression ABS Sensors.

That's good information Chaps. That certainly looks like the culprit. Armed with this knowledge, I shall call back to my local supplier of handy bits and pieces, rather than the dealership. Thank you for your advice. Greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Chuck

'95 Expression ABS Sensors.

Hi Folks, I have a non operating N/S/R ABS sensor that needs to replaced at some point. I don't have problems with the Dealership getting their listed part, but I do have an issue with getting one that is a direct replacement for the one that is fitted. I'm finding out, as I did with the clutch issu...

Re: Hello Mk 3 Fans. Returning Member.

For many years, I didn't have a car, as I always needed a van for my group activities. I had some good old machines, though they were used more for shifting furniture for friends, rather than moving our group gear. We used to have a wall of sound made up of all our instrument amplification and a lar...

Re: SMELL OF PETROL

I had this problem just prior to the test. It wasn't leaking and there was no sign of a leaky pipe. It was strongest when it was driven with the windows open. When it was on the ramp getting it's pre-test service, we noticed that the Jubilee Clip on the filler pipe, though in place, was actually bro...

Re: Got those old broken clutch blues.

Old motor up and running. Clutch repair was a success. She's off the road for a little while until I can find a few more little bits and pieces. Roadworthy, though. Thanks for the advice and info. I bought an Astra estate for a few bob, to keep me mobile. I was surprised to see so many new parts on ...

I have a Flickr Account, which some of the members may like. It contains mostly Models and Aircraft, but there are some classic car photos, too. Re: what are you listening to???

Bob Marley is great music for driving to. Currently 'Natural Mystic.' Album.

Otherwise, Jethro Tull, Blythe Power, Prog Rock and Alt Country. The Blues, too, but is usually a slowing influence.

Re: Got those old broken clutch blues.

Things are looking good. The parts all fit, though there are a couple of slight differences. All shall be revealed on Tuesday, when the old motor goes back into the garage.

Re: Got those old broken clutch blues.

I think I have some more aircraft to scan in at some point, with Vampires included. A local car shop was recommended to me this morning and he has found me just the item I need. He's a bit of a car fan and was very quick to find the clutch. Coming later this week. £79.99. Fingers crossed. Thanks aga...

Re: Got those old broken clutch blues.

Having looked at replacement Calibra Clutches, I think that we are on a winner. I'll get the garage to order one in and we can check it against mine. Very obliged to you Robsey.

Thanks, Chuck

Re: Got those old broken clutch blues.

That's interesting, Robsey. As you can see by the photos, mine doesn't appear to be flush. It has a rim around it and a sloped dish effect. The Calibra connection may well be worth checking out. Thank you. Another line of enquiry.

Cheers,

Chuck

Thanks, I will. That's what I said about being the family workhorse. They all make fun of the old car, unless they need large items moved, or trips to the tip.

Got those old broken clutch blues.

Good morning folks. I'm wondering if anyone on the forum could help/ advise on a problem that dropped on me last Friday. Quick rundown. My 1995 M Plate Expression had a bit of an issue with the clutch. I had to press the pedal into the carpet to get into first, from time to time. Adjustment seemed t...

Hello Mk 3 Fans. Returning Member.

Good morning fellow Cavalier lovers. As you might guess, I use my old Cavalier to carry my group gear about. A lot less these days, as we are sort of an acoustic band now. People are amazed at how much I can pack into my '95 Expression and still have room for a driver and passenger. It's the family ...
