Et45 will be perfect tbh , will be enough to keep away from the struts without fouling the arches. et45 is only 4mm out and easily within the recommended window.

Hi mate , I did the alcantara myself but I'd say its only about 80% the leather will be done by the trimmers as its to hard to do with heavy leather

Use some 2000 grit wet and dry , leave it soaking in water overnight to soften then mix shampoo in with the water. Keep the paper will lubricated until the areas are nice and smooth , then do the same with 3000 grit then hit it with some compound/polish and a shit load of elbow grease

A cav is safe in a crash to a point but not compared to a modern equivalent , hence the new car thing , everyone has different needs and wants from a car
