i usually use a wire brush on them and then mix some engine oil and grease together and then brush it on.

its called a top mount. and the rubber thing in the 3rd pic looks like a bump stop which sits on the shocker tube itself. to replace this you need to dismantle the shocker to get to where it sits. the same goes for replacing the top mount.

i had one of those on my old cav, dont know if it ever worked. as for your washer bottle can you not get to the nut that holds it in just by undoing the bracket that holds the battery down and moving the battery out of the way a little bit.

sounds like the temp sensor if its fine when warm. it works like a choke
