Re: Strange scrapping noise when turning hard right
I've checked all of the above, and everything seems fine. I'm sure it's the exhaust; I know it has the saloon version instead of the hatchback one; was there also a difference between the manual and the automatic??? I don't really want to replace the whole system, as it's only a few months old

Re: Strange scrapping noise when turning hard right
I don't think it's wheel bearings; it's sounds like the wheel is catching on the wheel-arch liner. Really, really daft question, but my hatchback seems to have been fitted with a saloon exhaust system; I wondered if that could have anything to do with it?

Strange scrapping noise when turning hard right
I've been on a 200 mile round trip to see my family today, and although my Cav ran really well, whilst turning right at speed (ie on the A27 roundabouts), there was a stange 'scrapping' noise :? I pulled over, but couldn't see anything amiss; anyone any ideas what it could be? It only happens whilst...

It wouldn't been as bad if I could understand this alarm system; it seems to have a mind of it's own! I've never had any luck with car alarms over the years
Thx for your help guys; will have a look and see if I can kill the fudgery

I had already thought of doing just that, but didn't want to get this bloke into trouble for spending so much time on such a low value item.

At last, a helpful Vauxhall dealer!
Having had many years of dealing with various Vauxhall dealerships across the south, and knowing how snobby/unhelpful they can be with customer service in the parts/servicing department (esp. perrys in kent), I've been gobsmacked at the fantastic level of customer service at 'Skurrays' (www.skurrays...

Thank you. I'm still going to clean the breather pipes, well, the lower one at least (the top one was split, and 'repaired' with electrical tape; have now ordered a new one)

Re: Cavaliers???
I think there comes a point when over-all condition of a car comes before trim-level..........and also, the more basic a car, the less to go wrong, and the easier, and cheaper, it is to repair.
