Can only comment on the cone filter... Although I had a pipercross...
Better pedal response, Bit more induction noise... No real difference on economy...

Re: Central locking by turning key
Saying that though... As we all have found out. Vauxhall added bits and took bits off as they pleased... you could have 2 GLS of the same year and 1 would have some stuff and the other wouldnt...

Re: Central locking by turning key
Lock set has been replaced...
or ignition barrel...
One or the other...
I would guess if after market central locking has been fitted... It came out the factory without central locking... Depends on year.
iirc not all cavs had it as standard...

Re: Replacement Filter OR Indution Kit?
would need forced induction and properly heat shielded enclosed filter to see any gains... Had this argument with so many people as I always stick a cone on...
If its a bit more bark you want... cone filter with direct cold feed... If its more bite/power you want... do a LET conversion

Re: Saab b202 2litre turbo fit into any cavalier?
my advice... get a manual for both cars to aide with wiring... Dont expect it to be easy... Plan each step of the job and dont take short cuts.... Always solder joints in wires as spade connectors can cause sensor faults (know this from my Punto powered Cinquecento) I would also try and at least ser...

remove card, rubbers wind window down until you can see the runner it sits in, then carefully dislodge it from said runner (holds in at the bottom) then remove glass upwards... Might pay to pay to get the window taken out if not confident... When I done mine... we undone the stopper bit first to giv...

Re: Having to stall a cavalier to turn off?
Not in a Cav... But my old car (Metro) had a wrong tail light bulb fitted... only way to keep engine running was to have the lights on... as soon as you turned them off it would cut out... Took me an age to find the fault and felt thick as fook when my old man found it... Anything is possible with c...

Re: Handbrake Grip Removal
To remove the GAITER you remove the 'cupped' section that allows you not to smash your knuckles when releasing the hand break... Undo and remove the crosshead screw, then carefully unclip the plastic securing bit... Pull over the handbreak handle, thus turning inside out, locate the cable tie (one o...

I went to VAG... Got a Passat Estate 1.8 20v Turbo... Awesome car!!! Until it started to go wrong... Use to have to disconnect the battery every night... Re: FITTING A Sports EXHAUST TO MY CAVALIER PLEASE HELP
I had a de cat on my auto... was loud... loved it...
But as said, being an auto you could clearly hear the gear changes....
Pop it in sport mode or semi manual and hold the revs high sounded sweet
Loads of autos have full custom exhausts and sound the nuts

I took it out in my purple cav... Had to take half the dash out to get it out decently...
In the loon I just drilled a hole as we did with Andrai and mikes...
Get a metal coat hanger or garden wire to help with routing wires...
Should be all good

Just wondering... You said you have the old style box with the inspection panel...
Why would you need to take the shaft out :S
Could be a number of things...
Get you ICE sorted... Turn it up LOUD and you wont notice it through the audio... lol

Re: Can non-auto tilt lights be retro fitted with adjusters
I was on my lunch break with no tools... Pretty sure I replaced it... Carefully remove the manual adjuster... I found it easier to fully adjust it until it popped out itself... There is a ball/ball connector (that I broke... Take care!!!) that needs taking off the manual And putting on the motor... ...

Just out of interest... by stock paper, do you mean standard A4?
As the last bit of A4 style normal paper that was against my windscreen kind of glued itself and smudged due to the condensation...
Is a really cool Idea though...
If I still had a cav I would prob get one lol

You can put what ever fans you can fit if you really want... Knew a guy who done a twin Subaru fan conversion on his pug... Looked pretty good but that was about the only gain... Vauxhall are the most backwards bunch going... Some do, some don't... Best way is to (on the cav) pull the ashtray out or remove whole lower dash... And there should be 2 connector blocks taped up separately one green and one black... From experience... The one on the right is taped up higher than t...
