Re: MOT'S RULES ON ABS

Troy is right. If any part of the system is there its a failure due to parts of the system being there. Although i dont think the rings on the shafts have to be removed. Mine doesnt have abs but has the rings on the shafts and the abs sensor holders on the legs due to them being from a later model. ...

Re: Photoshop this cavalier yellow please

I tried to edit the pictures you posted but the image quality is low so when i opened it in photoshop it was very pixelated. Also the hue range didnt bring the car yellow enough. It very a greeny yellow. Thats why i edited mine.

Re: What did you have to do/change car wise for your baby?

All personal preference, I know some people who have as they say a low and loud car is no place for a baby. Me personally. I kept the cav and even fitted a bigger engine a few month after she was born. She didnt know any different and loves going in the car. Edit: leather is a good option with babys...

Last time I was at my local scrappy a cav had just turned up. It didnt even make it into the yard itself before a bunch of lads was taking bits off. I went back a week later to find pritty much a bare shell

Re: how many left

That website has been proven to be incorrect on quite a few occasions with a number of different cars.

Its hard to prove whats still alive but offroad and whats been broken for spares. It will give you a ballpark figure but I wouldnt take it as gospel

Re: annoying rumble... help needed.

Seem to have sorted the rumble.

Only bad news is I dont know what it was. Today its had 2 front wheel bearings, 2 inner cv joints, new disks and a gearbox change.

Initial test drive to make sure everything was ok went well and I could hear/feel the rumble.

Drums are the tapered bearing.

Simple to change. Just dont over tighten when you fit your new one.

It is being narrowed down to the diff. Could a new cv rumble?
Just want to rule out everything before doing the gearbox.

Re: annoying rumble... help needed.

Ive tried swapping wheels. Even put the ones I had before on. Rumble still there.

Changed the wheel bearing aswel today. Rumble still there.

Can worn brake disks cause it? Ive ordered new ones 1 to rule them out and 2 it will need them soon anyway.
