Re: 2l 8v engines

Only real problems I've had is the icv clogging but a oil catch tank has sorted that and the slight oil and water leak I'm yet to have the time to find. Main problem I have at the minute is finding new fuel lines to replace the r...

Not had a proper drink since 2001... I found myself getting friendly with a friends wife...many times -oops.!! (Not too friendly thankfully). - not good so I don't risk it anymore. besides - I drive for a living, so can't afford to get blotto and lose my license because I'm still over the limit the...

Re: ultimate skills :p

I'm pretty sure it's a standard m6 thread.... ie a readily available 10mm nut. nope though it was 10mm myself. the hex piece on the cable is 10mm which might be why i thought it was a 10mm nut. a 13mm nut just goes over the thread. Hayward691 unfortunately i haven't could get one for saturday hopef...

went tot do the shopping and as I was going round the carpark to find a space the clutch pedal hit the floor as I put my foot on it (I know thats how it works) but it stayed in gear and the clutch didn't come back up. found it to be the adjuster nut on the box end of the cable. I have checked the ca...

wish my c20ne was like that it has always struggled to get through the emissions and used to have a new cat each year but I have made a type approved one fit so it will have that on it for the next mot :D that should sort her out

Re: C18nz tuning??????

if you can't get an engine try changing to a multipoint injection manifold from a ne or seh but you will need the ecu and loom to go with it then you can keep the current engine but boost it's power by freeing up the fueling

Re: C18nz tuning??????

cheapest and easiest thing to do is a c20seh or c20ne. I've done the ne and it cost me £100 and a couple of days work for +25bhp I'm now looking towards doing a turbo 8v eventually just as something different with plenty of poke :D

I can see there being alot of accidents due to poor maintanance of older cars then they will hike the insurance up and that will price them off the roads

mine did exactly the same on the way down to plymouth after I touched an angled kurb to get out the way of a copper. managed to get me home though but it was a nightmare to drive and it was all down to the outer cv joint for the sake of £40 you can get a complete cv kit with boot clips and grease an...
