Re: djgritt Cavalier XEV Track Car Project

I replaced the buckled Grille Support Panel with a straight one - has improved the front end tenfold IMO as there is no rust on the panel, no gaps around the Headlight bases and under the grille and its straight Also refitted the Morette Covers, as i couldn't find another scoop/funnel part for the P...

Re: Oil and volt gauges

If you get some, but delay getting the Sender - earth out the cable for the sensing cable of the Oil Pressure gauge, otherwise it will read maximum pressure constantly, and will eventually feck the gauge. By earthing it out, it sits at its minimum (as if it was disconnected) therefore saving the gau...

Re: Xenon headlights

I've had zero problems with a kit from eBay i bought over 2 years ago. Bi-Xenon H4. Prices have come down across the board for the kits now, a lot. It went from everyday use in the Cavalier, to everyday use in the Corsa, and still no problems... 8-) Will be buying a second kit soon, to refit some to...

Re: Tyres

I like the stretched look - on the right car

As for tyre choices;

Cavalier - Toyo Proxes T1-R - Best tyres it's ever had, very good on track
Octavia vRS - Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 - Fecking awesome for chucking the car around on a fast twisty A-Road 8-)

Earth out that Sender cable for the Oil Pressure!! :o If you leave it reading Max it will damage the gauge... If you havent got the proper Sender unit, and wont have for a while, it is best to leave it earthed out - i have left mine earthed for 2 years now, still need to get a Sender (the gauge wont...

Depends on how much work is required IMO

Chassis Rails in Order?
Arches?
Bodykit Complete?
Paintwork Condition?
Engine (Mechanically)?
Interior?
Does it require any De-Chaving?

etc etc... ;)
