jesus i havent been on here in a while . Hav the redtop in now and shes goin well , its just my weekend car , still never got a proper fuel pump for it as it i dont have the full power from the redtop

hav the cav up n runnin now this past 2 weeks , had no problems yet with it

will the 1.6 radiator be ok with the redtop engine ? I tried fitting the redtop rad but it wont fit cos the front of my cav is too high so that rad stucks up too high . must be a new type front .

thanks for them pics an info , ive got the car runnin now , took it to a gargage on monday and got it back yday . Few more problems now tho , need a boot on one of the drives , oil cooler pipes are rust and they are leakin , need to adjust gear linkage(no 5th gear) , and few others things , i'll kee...

nah dont hav that kinda insurance problem . I'll need to call out an auto electrics man to find the problem , just hope i can afford it

checked my car yesterday and theres no led things on it or my other cav . Still cant get a spark , think im goin to hav to take the car to a garage and get everything up n runnin

i got a new crank sensor yesterday . When i crank the engine the ecu light goes out .

The car wont start , its still not gettin the spark? Any other reasons why this is happening? Im really gettin sick of this now

Theres still no spark , i checked everything and everything looks ok

Waitin on a new crank sensor from the motor factors , hopefully then the car will be gettin the spark so it should fire up .

Put some water in yesterday and i havent seen any leaks on the termostat housing so far

i fittin the housing lastnite , used instant gasket . I'll put water in 2day and hopfully it wont still be leaking .

Also fitted the driveshaft aswell .

hav 1 ordered now , hopefully i'll hav it by friday .

I still need to fit the termostat housing part , i noticed that theres is a small crack on the rubber on it , will i need a new 1 or would plent of instant gasket do?

just noticed 2day that ther is damage on the crank sensor

i got hold of a termostat housing today :) , will need to put it on wen i get home . But another problem i hav with the car is that wen i go to start the car it will turn over but wont fire , so i took out 1 of the sparkplugs to see if it was gettin the spark whilst turnin the engine and there is no...

that termostat housin part never turned up , went into the autofactor n they told me i had to buy it with the termostat , €130 + vat , so fudge that . I'll hav to wait till i know of a redtop bein broken in the area . Never got the driveshaft sorted either , i'll probs cut the damaged thread of it ,...

I will check it later today . What will it mean if the ecu light stays on?

i hav the redtop engine , loom and ecu in the car now , yesterday i turned the key and it wudnt fire , so i took out a plug connected it back on the lead and tried to see was it sparking and its not? Is ther anythin else i need to change?

Also the man came with the termostat thing , but he had the wrong part , he had a new termostat but i need the bit that the termostat bolts to. Wat is this part called? And are they hard to get?

i suppose i'll hav to drill out and make new threads for the abs boxes . On the hubs i fitted the bolts were snapped , looked like sum1 just hit off the abs boxes with a hammer . will it be safe if i hav the 2 ABS things at front disconnected , there is no place for them on the other hubs .
Mite get the gearbox changed later , crossmember is off so everythin shud be straightforward .

Another problem that i cud hav now is that wen i put in the Driveshafts from the other car into mine after i change the gearbox , is ther a chance that they wont fit??

checked 2day and gearboxes are definitly different cos theres a smaller main shaft in my original gearbox . So 2moro iafternoon im gonna start and hopefully get it changed , any more info i shud know b i start??
