I was wondering with the total close not working and the scotch connectors. It might be down to the scotch lock connectors not contacting properly.
Do I have to connect the deadlock wire also for the total closure to work?

Re: Electric Windows Total Closure
The remote fob should still total close the front windows though, shouldn't it.
Is the scotch lock connectors good for connecting wires,or should I solder wires together instead.

Re: Electric Windows Total Closure
Robsey,in the Dan's how 2 he states, join the black/brown wire to the car to make the full closure to work.He does not state which colour wire you have to join the black/brown to.

Re: Electric Windows Total Closure
Ok.I will keep trying myself to see if I have done anything wrong.
The wire in the 5 pin on the Astra connector is red/yellow but it still should work.
Is there a certain way to use the remote fob to total close the windows?

Re: Electric Windows Total Closure
So is it that black/blue wire (the only black/blue wire in pic) that is for deadlocking car with remote?
I might go get a Vectra plug from scrap yard bc the pins look too thin for put a female cable connector to fit on.

Re: Electric Windows Total Closure
So I could use a female cable connector,a length of wire (brown/black) and connect to the left plug socket and solder other end to the brown/black wire on central locking connector.

My central locking works fine, but the windows will not total close with the remote. I put the rear leccy windows in myself and they work fine apart from the child lock button not working.Even the front windows (i haven't messed with these windows) will not total close with the remote. I used Dan's h...

Re: Parcel Shelf Straps
I bought new Vectra A (you maybe aware that the Vectra A is the Mk3 Cavalier) parcel shelf straps for £5.19 delivered. These straps don't even sag ,they are taut.
Should new straps be taut?
