Re: Rear drum brakes stuck again help please?

The little wheel is at around 2 o'clock on the os, and 10 on the ns. Turning it downward will tighten the adjustment.

100 battery will be fine..... keep it topped up though as they don't like sitting around doing nothing.

Re: Mikes 2.0 Gls

Did you change the leg Mike, or just the shock? It's not logical in my mind that the rack would be the point of failure, the design is such that any change in it would be balanced out across the two sides. If the impact was hard enough to damage the hub then the leg itself is likely to have been twi...

They are in fact 'cheese free' wotsits. You can even eat them too. I found this out after a series of panic phone calls tracing the details of them following the consumption of a whole box (roughly 3 gallons) by one of the dogs.

Re: cooling fan

So if you let it go until it actually does kick in, is it the low or high that comes in? If it's the high the switch is definitely faulty, if it's the low it could be a late switch or an inaccurate gauge

Re: cooling fan

If they both work with a bridge then it's either a) got a switch fault b) not reaching the temperature it says it is on the gauge

Re: cooling fan

It will creep up in traffic until it reaches the designated fan temperature (the higher number of those two) then the fan kicks in and it will lower it to the lower number. As long as it's kicking in and out, and regulating the temperature at idle then it's fine. When the vehicle is in motion with p...

Re: Font suspension wishbone bush

New arm comes with both bushes and a new ball joint, it's really not worth messing around with the bushes. The arms themselves corrode as well so it really does make sense to change it completely.

Not really an issue, the point being that there are a lot that don't until over 100 and it's not abnormal.

Zoom on the s3 by pinching your fingers and making them wider apart. (while touching the screen I should add) On the pc you can press and hold ctrl and hit the + sign to make everything bigger or the - to make it smaller.

Re: Steering Wheel lock

The steering lock will not engage unless you remove the key, second hand or new makes no difference. The design weakness is a choice of failures, a) results in being unable to turn the key to disengage the steering lock, b results in the steering lock not engaging at all and c) results in the mechan...

Re: cooling fan

Ok, so if the low speed should be coming on at 95 I would check that a) the switch actually switches the low, and b) the rest of the low speed circuit is operational.
If both of these are fine then it would suggest that the gauge is inaccurate.

Re: cooling fan

The fan switch usually has the temps stamped on the side of it. Two speed switches usually have a trigger a few degrees either side of 100. Single speed switches are usually over 100. The pressure in the system prevents the coolant boiling over 100 degrees. I would check that both the high and low s...
