I agree. I know he retired from F1 and that, but even so, it would seem too easy to guess it was him. It just didnt feel like all that exciting to see him under there for some reason .They had to use someone else, most probably the guy Gaz mentioned

Re: Heated windscreen
Wow, neat! I love the fact that on the Cav Mk3 windscreen, the pic is the BTCC Cavalier Awesome.
Anyways, £130 is not bad for a heated screen considering a brand new replacement isnt far off that price. I suppose you'll have to pinch the wiring connectors from an Omega or such, Gaz?

Ye, i think converting a saloon into a pick-up would be fantastic and would make a definite true rival to that Ford Sierra pick up. I know which one i'd always have

Re: Coasting
Well i'm not in any way trying to encourage people to break the speed limit, i was just trying to point out fuel savings on a typical economical journey. Frankly, drivers who speed around everyone just get on my nerves, and are a lot more dangerous. Oh and yes, i found that i use a lot less gas crui...

Hey all :wave I find this a really good fuel-conserving tip to work for myself, and just in case some people dont use this, well, when cruising along the motorway (or any road), when encountering a downhill section, instead of just letting a little pressure off the gas, just simply slide into N, and...

Panel filters
Hey guys :wave I been looking around some sites, and came across K'n'N and Pipercross panel filters for my Cavalier. £46 is the going price which i found to be cheap compared to some, and there have been good reviews on them. Anybody else recommend it? I'm not particulary after more power, as i cant...

Re: air box to manifold hose
Ye thats what i pondered. As its more dense than warm air, theres more of it to combust with the fuel. But as i mentioned, its only useful at higher speeds, as the air is rammed in a lot better. Also, the good thing is i can just put it back if needed in 2 seconds

Oh right didnt know automatics could be started that way. I thought, the gearbox was fully electronic and useless without the engine on, unlike a manual. Fair enough though, i guess its surprising.

Re: air box to manifold hose
Ok i have tried it myself today. I routed the hose from the airbox to just behind the grille. I must say, i didnt really notice any difference round town in Economy mode, but when i took her for a spin down the local dual-carry, i definitely felt the engine pulling more and more as the revs went up,...
