Re: BRITISH TV SHOW SEEKS MK 3 CAVALIER TURBO 4X4

At least the Cavalier is getting some recognition at last as a modern classic the least it deserves. Always seems to be in the shadow of the Serria cosworth.

Re: V6 exhaust parts

I found once when I ordered a middle box for one of my cars that I got just that all seemed well until I got under the car & realised that the OEM exhaust on the car was different in that it was all one piece from the downpipe back, so I had to cut the pipe off of the old exhaust & reuse it ...

Central locking issue

I have a problem with the central locking on the GSI, I thought it just got out sequence as the battery had been off to charge. The problem is when I tried to desd lock it all the locks just kept opening & closing until I unlocked it with the key. Then it seemed to sort it self out, but then I n...

Re: Oil pressure light how long to turn off

My old MotorSport 1.8 did exactly the same, no longer than 4 or 5 seconds though. But it was not an issue for me, the gauge I fitted showed the the pressure did come up.

Re: M Plate 1.8LS Saloon

Not had anymore issues with the EML. I need to get the tracking done, it seems since I got a new front tyre it pulls to the right a good bit more, the other day I was almost getting a sore arm keeping the car in a straight line. I thought maybe something was off on the front end, so jacked up and h...

Just to add to this the correct size of the nuts is master cylinder end is 10mm & 11mm the calliper end, why put different sizes on the same piece of pipe ?

Re: The MotorSport's replacement as daily driver.

Love a good Rover. I've been tempted by the 45 and 75 as a replacement for the Cavalier as a daily driver. Didn't actually know that they were ulez exempt. What's the K-series 1.4 like on power compared to the Cav? The smaller engined cars are exempt but this V6 cars aren't. Rover did some weird en...

The MotorSport's replacement as daily driver.

Well I had to replace it with something to drive into work without having to pay the ULEZ charge, so when this popped up on Facebook market place I liked the look of it so went to see it & inevitably bought it home & it is an MG ZR 1.4 16V in metallic grey, with 80 odd thousand miles on it. ...

Re: Roof carrier system

Open the doors and in approximately the middle of the door frame pull the rubber seal down a little bit and you should expose a threaded insert fixed to the car. The roof bars have a fixture built in to them, lift the lever with the Vauxhall emblem on & the little threaded stud should drop down,...
