After he fixed the fuel line, he was able to run the car fine.
Only extra work, was a "burst brake line"...

The Mk2 is a 1300 base model with masses of extra ventilation in the rear inner arches and drivers side rear door frame. I know how you feel, both my Mk2 and Mk3 Cavs are being scrapped in the next few days.
Again due to the rust monster on the Mk2 but for the mk3 the list goes as follows...fuel pipes, both outer sills, cv boot split, fuel tank leak and blowing back box..gutted!!

I have stirred up abit of a fuss on Vectra C.com.... There have been a lot of requests from there for wiring diagrams etc... I have recently made up a mini loom to control the radio facia and display lighting and temperature input control...this is done on post 2002 cars via a "body control mod...

the passenger side of the bumper...(assuming you mean UK right hand drive). If yours is missing, then you won't find it. Look for a pair of blue and blue/white wires with a plug on the end...these are the temperature sensor wires. Look for a pair of wires on your clock connector too...for the same t...

Any results with this... If it is a sender fault, then disconnect the plug from sender and put a 120 ohm resister across the pins in the plug. (turn on the ignition of course..but use a decent wattage resister otherwise it will get quite hot) The gauge on the dash should register just above the red....

You would need to be careful though, as this is a public facing forum...scrotes have access to this site too remember!!! Now fitted heater panel...so we are nearly there!! Just waiting for my clock surround to arrive to finish off with...will be putting cig lighter in the space to the left of the heater panel...note the plug is there ready.

luck seems to be still going my way!!! I've undone the cable ties that hold the loom for the heater panel and hazard light switch to the right side of the facia, and guess what?? Well the loom was easily manipulated to allow the heater panel and demister switch to be dropped into the lower panel pos...

Thanks for the tip about the a/c bowden cables...may just need that extra length to get around the radio.
