Re: New VIN plates?

I am sure that metal embossed plates would not be made for the simple reason that a new set of plates could potentially be used to change the identity of a car chassis. Yes, this is correct, but for restoration purposes it should be an exact replica of these plates. In Germany there is a company wh...

New VIN plates?

Is there a company in UK which embosses new VIN plates and equipment plates? We have a car here, where both plates are missing and if you order a new VIN plate at the dealer you'll get just on of these sticker tags.

Re: Quiet

It's not their fault of course, we've all got lives to lead, kids to feed, mortgages to pay ect. and Cavalier numbers continue to fall. I think these are the main reasons. Cavalier will be 30 years old next year. It's the course of time that interests in this model decrease. And young people aren't...

Problem is, When the keg is in the ignition and turned on the lights in the instrument panel are on but the car wont start and nothing else seems to be working inside the car. If i pull the keys out of the ignition and turn the headlight switch on it brings the instrument lights on. I would check t...

Re: Wiring problem

If it has two wires on it, then it is a single speed fan. If it has three wires, then it is a 2 speed fan. If you mean the connector of temp sensor in radiator then this is not the full truth. ;) If you have a facelifted C20NE without air condition you got three wires but the fan is single speed. T...

Re: Illuminated sun visors

Electric sunroof and non illuminated sun visors are not that unusual. In Germany CDX and V6 has electric sunroof as standard, but only MY1995 got the illuminated visors. I was surprised as I saw my 1994 CDX without them and checked the equipment lists in the brochures which confirmed that. In 1994 j...

Zafira-A Central Locking with Comfort Closure

For reprogramming you just need an OP-COM (or anything similar). Easily done with laptop by yourself. :) On Vectra B there is no connection between central lock module and multitimer which controls central closure. It's hard wired between central lock controle module and window lifters (brown-black)...

Re: SRi - ABS warning light - wiring diagram help

You got the old ABS system with its ECU installed at the seat called "ABS 2S". This system has no diagnostic function. Maybe you find someone who still has a KM-566 diagnostic unit. This will do the search for errors a lot more easier. http://opel-infos.de/pictures/km-566.jpg If you haven'...

Or you post your equipment plate (the laquered one). With some of the codes you can find out original trim level.

In Germany only 25% of all Vectra A were a hatch. In UK the hatch figure is 75%. Yes, you are right, the saloon is the more wanted model. There is no difference between UK and Germany. :D Turbo is Turbo... Many people are restoring Turbos or GSi but there are some more models. And in two or m...

Tobi's 1994 Vectra CDX 2.0 16V

More text than pictures: This "project" started back in May 2013 when I bought a Vectra CDX 2.0 16V. It was an Ebay auction showing a Vectra Hatch in Rioja stated with engine failure. Features were really good : A/C, leather, anti theft alarm, check control and the rest standard on CDX. So...
