Re: Stuff we've seen on the road
What an idyllic way to pass the time  Coincidently this was coming out of my next street. https://i.postimg.cc/mrTVgv8L/1946-Fordson-crop.png 1946 Fordson. Apparently ford made vans and trucks under the tractor brand name early on. It's not one of the better pics unfortunately. The dashcam ...

It polished up well in the ad.
It's a pity it was withdrawn, it would have been interesting to see what it fetched.

Would using redex in the tank instead of the intake be a gentler option for your weak point, the flywheel?

Re: X20XEV Wiring Conversion
I don't know if it's relevant because I don't know the age of the donor engine or loom, or anything about electronics for that matter  The x20xev's for cavaliers required a camshaft sensor modification consisting of a sensor with a differently shaped plug and trailing wires for soldering to the...

Re: 1993 Cavalier 2.0 GLSi hatchback
I had the same problem. I bought the three mounts but only really needed the rear one for the fix. Because you report that the engine rocks back and forth, it has to be the rear mount. I'd agree it's that one. Congratulations for when your car becomes a historical vehicle exempt from Glasgow's dread...

Re: Rear arch repair
Just work through the layers methodicallly. And keep all off-cuts for reference / patterns. People have told me many times... Do a lot of practice with scrap metal, until you reach a standard you are happy with. Then you can start attacking the car. Just take your time - rushing will turn it into a...

Panic over! My renewal premium went down, It's now sub £150, phew! That's with 12 years+ NCD protected, £50 compulsory and no voluntary excess. I'm happy enough with that given the excellent service the company provided when I was rear-ended. ---------------------------------------------------------...

Another 'hens teeth' part that seems to be exclusive to cavalier/vectra A.
I've got one left that needs to be used now thanks to a garage breaking one
Part nos are;
VX 90269660 as Robsey says.
Opel 2345815
And aftermarket Topran 205805, available at autodoc and other sites.

Re: Headlight manual adjuster to electric
Which side are you after? Both headlight casings on the diplomat, the little lug below the indicators are broken, that's usually the case with 2nd hand ones, so really any side as I am trying to make up a good set for that, I also just got a full spare light N/S for the LS, on that one the lug is s...

Late to the party again lol. Re the heater panel, definitely original. I've tried sandpapering white/ amber/yellow/blue led's to diffuse them but they're still too damn bright, blue distorts colour too much and is dim and undefined. i came across this, totally unrelated to my search (how does that h...

Re: Tapered Rear springs
Interesting. I've never had this problem yet but no doubt it'll come up. we're at the stage where most fitters are younger than the car ! matt That time has come. I need to replace the rear springs but after days of looking i'm none the wiser. I've been looking at KYB as replacements but the listin...
