Re: Lowrider Dave - 1994 GLS (Archer)

Not quite sure why these fail, as mine moves freely inside That's interesting as neither my original or my current one move when I try to get it to open/shut - they both seem to be partially shut and won't budge. "EDIT - I have posted my ICV antics on my Work horse WIP thread to save clutterin...

Re: Lowrider Dave - 1994 GLS (Archer)

Got a slight hot starting/idling problem which I'm pretty sure is the ICV - especially as the car starts when I unplug it! The thing is, the ICV is a new 'autovaux' item, barely a few months old! It's clean inside and the connections are clean too, so not sure why it's playing up. Perhaps a new ICV?...

Just getting the header panel out fills me with dread, let alone trying to put LEDs in! But you know what you're doing so that makes these posts interesting! Good on you for working it all out.

Re: Insurance agreed value

Some insurance companies have a valuator who will come out an examine you car or you supply the insurers with a bunch of photos and you come to an agreed value between you.
I would suspect there are few places that know enough about Cavaliers specifically to put an accurate valuation on a vehicle.

Holy heck! Just catching up with the thread and saw this, what a mess and how immensely frustrating. I am glad you are okay but the poor DIppy :( I agree that the insurance people will be likely to say it's beyond economical repair, so the only real route would be to retain the car and enter into di...

Re: Lowrider Dave - 1994 GLS (Archer)

Some progress this week. Fitted passenger door mirror with it's freshly painted cover. Alloys left with the refurbishers. Front bumper given two coats of paint to dusting/key it in. Tomorrow new steering rack and tie rods get fitted in an effort to iron out some of the softness/wobbling I get from t...

Re: DK Photography - Southern 14th meeting photos

A great meet and a big thanks to everyone who made the effort to drive the distances required! Many really put in the miles to meet up, so it is appreciated. For those that couldn't make it, perhaps next time! Maybe a change of location, maybe not. Looking at July/Aug for next meeting - keep an eye ...

Using Flickr to host and post your forum images

The Mk3 Cavalier Owners Club no longer allows image attachments in messages due to website bandwidth usage and server load etc. You are, however, free to use a third party service provider such as Flickr to host your pics. DK Photography - Southern 14th meeting photos

The 14th meeting in the Southern area took place last Sunday (23rd April) at the usual meeting point on Portsdown Hill. The sun was out and so were the Cavs - the best attendance we’ve had yet - seven! The warm weather of April was clearly prime for many older vehicles to get out and about as we wer...

Re: Lowrider Dave - 1994 GLS (Archer)

With the drier weather appearing slowly, like a badger with a hangover from a particularly heavy session down the pub, I dragged one of my recent purchases outside into the light and started preparing it for the car. Although already handily bedecked in Satin Red I felt the adornment of many stone c...
