Re: TD Daily Project

You've only just passed your theory and already have 2 cars? Doing better than me when I was 17  Even though they're both low spec models LS and E and the polo is 8 years newer, the Cav definitely has a better spec, as the polo only has 2 speakers (front and only the drivers side works at the ...

Re: TD Daily Project

Looks good! Can't believe you got it for that price, especially after he had a new clutch and cam belt etc put on it! You did well! And they tune very well too :D It had the cambelt but it needs a clutch and was why I got before they emigrated, your videos on YouTube were the first time I heard one...

Re: TD Daily Project

Well today, I only just took and passed my theory test, they really need to update their Hazard perception videos, must have been from very early 2000, counted multiple mk3 cavaliers :p 2 pre-facelift SRi's, 3 normal Preface lifts and another 2 facelifts. Made me really want to work on mine today so...

Re: TD Daily Project

Looks a clean car mate. Reg is really close to my old Cav. Yeah it is dude, I'm enjoying the progress on your WIP by the way :thumb , There are a few bits of surface rust underneath so that will have to be sorted and undersealed but the only bit that needs attention so far are the pictured holes in...

Re: TD Daily Project

Cheers Andrei :thumb , yeah I have a fair bit to do, but I plan to take at least a year for a more affordable insurance quote. I also plan to fit front fogs and asking the previous owner he told me that he had seen and wondered what wires in the grill/headlight area were for, so those sound like fog...

Re: TD Daily Project

Looks OK for the price :thumb the rust in the boot may have been caused by the plastic vent above letting water in that's where mine was doing it, you have to take the bumper off then it pops out I used plumbers leak sealer on mine but ordinary silicone will do it as well. Cheers for the tip, will ...

TD Daily Project

After knocking on a door up the road from me about 3-4 months ago to enquire about the car to find it would be for sale at some point when or if the owners emigrated, I returned to their house on Wednesday to leave a number when I found out that the owner had just done the timing belt, water pump an...

Re: Standard Bumpers with GSI side skirts?

Yeah I would be, the reason I'm asking is that I managed to pick up some gsi skirts at a good price as they didn't come with end caps or door mouldings, as I'm not really interested in the full kit I was wondering what it would look like as it would save time and money looking for end caps and mould...

Standard Bumpers with GSI side skirts?

Has anyone done this? I'm wondering because it seems to line up to where non gsi/turbo front bumpers recess in the centre and it would be something different to do.

Classic car show in Llandudno

There's a Car show in Llandudno it started last Friday and ended today. Its only quite a small one but there's also a few stalls of parts and tools, i went there today to have a look around and hopefully find some Cavalier parts but unfortunately only found a twisted bonnet badge, a few used rear 'V...

Hello

Hello I'm Elliot, I'm 17 and soon to pass my driving test, I currently have a Vw Polo to learn in but remembered about the Cavaliers that my brothers had and they just stuck out from other cars I've seen. Good looking cars that are be reliable when looked after and I've managed to get first refusal ...
