I'll certainly try that to see what results. I suppose the light bulb I had was to somehow link this up with external sources in order to spread the net wider as parts for Cavaliers become endangered species. But I haven't thought it through properly.

Seem to remember seeing "Andrew Page" Newcastle dropping stuff off at my local, but as you say I think they do only standard mechanical stuff (I once got replacement plug leads off them) not the more obscure body parts, which is where the dedicated CavMk3OC supply chain might come in!

It would be useful to know where you did your sourcing. I don't have the inside knowledge / connections and eBay is always a bit hitty missy.

Key point: who did you get to do the valuation? Could be that the insurance people if they ask for this won't accept any old person's toss of a coin. I've been trying to get a response from Saga on this but they're suffering from amnesia.

parts are easy to come buy if you need just ask if i set up this i will make sure part are on stand by just in case thay are needed as this will be just for cavaliers im happy all will be ok Mud or no mud, tracks or no tracks, I'd been keen to have tabs on any "supply line" formal or info...

General point of interest (to me): Any amount of competition is regrettably going to put wear and tear on the components and require replacements. I live in fear and dread of something going pop even in normal use and the system coming up with "sorry part no longer available for a 91 SRi"....
