Re: My VERY RUSTY VW T25 Camper Van Project
I don't know... but these pattern panels are the worst I have ever seen. A huge 16 to 19mm (5/8" to 3/4") out at the bottom. https://i.postimg.cc/RVp6G2ZQ/20210630-020950.jpg Only Klokkerholme in Denmark make them. So even the best UK suppliers, Heritage and Brickwerks have to sell them a...

Re: Blink And You Miss It - 15 Years.
You have been quite active behind the scenes Gary. Hopefully as we start heading into spring, things will pick up again. I am looking forward to the next few months, and the future of the forum as a whole. I just need to lead by example and de-mothball my own Cavalier, and maybe finish off the last...

Re: Blink And You Miss It - 15 Years.
The missus had owned the Cavalier for 10 years, and then myself for another 3 years before I discovered the forum in 2008... so I was quite a 'late' starter. I think Gary, Envoy CDX is the longest registered member, joining with the first wave of sign-ups. Overall, our Cavalier was already 13 years...

Re: My VERY RUSTY VW T25 Camper Van Project
Looks promising, sadly sheared things are a part of life with these things. But overcame and got it done - sometimes I wonder if bolts would be better on these things. As for sound deadening, I was watching a My Mechanics video and he was using dry ice to remove the sound deadening with good results.

Trying to work out the best way forward with this one. I thought they'd slowed right down to be honest but I guess Rob is getting them before I log in.

Re: My VERY RUSTY VW T25 Camper Van Project
Progress of any form is progress Rob, I can remember when I had the unit (co-shared in Darlington about 80 mile round trip) and I used to spend longer on the road than I did in the actual unit some nights, so don't beat yourself up too much. You're certainly getting more confident around the tools, ...

Re: Matts CDX - Work In Progress.
ideally plugs out and bore scope down to see what can be seen from that, get it timed back up and fit the belt if its looking safe to do so. No point stripping the engine down if it isn't required. I mean you might be really lucky and nothing was fully open when it went (best case scenario) When a x...

Re: Matts CDX - Work In Progress.
Ouch, not sure where you stand with it breaking after being done by the garage, and how much of the cost they will absorb if its been customer supplied parts. Certainly not what I would expect from a gates belt, but then no idea how long its been on the shelf. Sorry to hear about the woe's. Hopefull...

Re: Matts CDX - Work In Progress.
Aye, fuel leaks are not fun to fix. But always fixable. Depending on what route you want to go (and if you're doing it yourself. I liberated the fuel lines off a Vectra B many years ago, Astra Mk4 will do too (and probably less work too). All fun and games.

Re: 1994 Cavalier LSi C20NE (was C18NZ) Work-horse
I know, and if I had my way I'd still have FOG's kicking about, just wasn't meant to be. You have previously offered but I couldn't (financially) do the work and investment justice and thus wouldn't even offend you by suggesting it (without it being tongue in cheek anyhow). I do want to see it on th...

If you can get polypushes that won't rattle your bones and from a reputable seller you'd be fine Rob.
