Re: Wiring in Calibra Volt and Oil Pressure Gauges.
Great article and well documented!! There’s a slight difference between lh and rh drive vehicles but not easy to spot. I’ve got both sets (somewhere in the garage). These gauges came in white, silvery grey and if you’re lucky .. black ones but these are extremely rare find (same as the digital dash)...

Re: Rear Suspension Arm 5 Stud Converted GSi
You can check where the was made using some of the websites eg ecat... there’s some other Dutch and German ones - so I’ve been told by my German pals. It’s a real shame not many 1990s era cars left. Great project / Restoration cars... but one thing that’s not changed is they need attention and have ...

Re: Rear Suspension Arm 5 Stud Converted GSi
The v6 had higher spec both interior and some exterior trim (rear clusters). It also had larger discs to compensate for the extra bhp. As for the handles, they are not standard and probably replaced. My turbo had the same,... another mod people like to do. The spring in original handles gives way ov...

5 stud conversion was a big thing back in the days. If it was done right by the previous owner then you may find that you only need one or two parts.

Cavalier gsi / turbo and Calibra share the same rear independent suspension. Suggest you Try and pull the parts you need from one of these cars.

The original plates for the turbo are very difficult to find.. they don’t make them any more - only aftermarket are available.

Re: Cavalier GSI
If I remember the cloth interior was a reduced cost option when ordered. Additionally, the rear seat in my old gsi had x2 cuppa holders build in the arm rest. This has the beige cloth interior. My white turbo, had the beige interior. While other has black heated leathers. A lot of people upgraded th...

Re: Cavalier GSI
The gsi front seats are like the Sri recaros. The one in the advert from are non gsi / turbo, worth checking the subframe, especially 4x4 cars Additionally all 4 door cards should have kerb lights and windows are electrical controlled so no holes for windup levers .. also replacement kerb lights are...

Re: Electric aerial is stuck in the half raised position
Robsey has pretty well described the process in good detail. Didn’t know about the correct oil,.. but back in the day I dismantled a few electric aerials and thoroughly washed out each component. Worth cleaning once a year to take out the collected rubbish. As an extra step, if you do decide to open...

Re: Vectra a from belgium - full rebuild
Welcome and some super work done so far. I’ll be interested to see how this project works out. I think the hardest part is finding the best parts at the right price - originals are a bit thin but can be found. Where about in Belgium are you based - I work near centraal station. On the other note as ...

Re: Mk3 rotten front jacking points
I can confirm Klokkerholme parts are bang on and as Robsey mentioned, I’ve missed their cut off a few times. I was also recommended on these by a few people I’ve shopped around and Klokkerholme parts are pretty reasonably priced as compared with other suppliers. It’s gives you a couple of options...

Re: Mk3 rotten front jacking points
Firstly congrats on the car. You have a couple of options and depending on the route he wants to go... 1. Try source original or good replacement parts 2. Doner car 3. parts refabricated from scratch. I know someone who’s bought an excellent condition doner car for the complete back half of the boot...
